He climbed Mount Everest and he doesn't want to do it again.Maybe it is more about the extreme cost of remaining elite. He could probably find someone to offer a good enough deal to remain decent.
(Speculation warning). But I am thinking after winning a championship remaining elite is the only desirable option. An all or nothing world.
“NASCAR will continue to work on growing the sport and working with the race teams on competitive and operational excellence. Much of those efforts have already been put in place, and will continue to be a focus.”
Denny is in 10th in points, Suarez is 20th.
yeah that's a pretty good reason. I'm with ya Hambone to Nascar MexicoYeah but Saurez is in his second season and has had terrible luck...
And I hate Denny
Yeah, that tickled my funny bone, too.“NASCAR will continue to work on growing the sport and working with the race teams on competitive and operational excellence. Much of those efforts have already been put in place, and will continue to be a focus.”
Say what?
Nascar Siberian cup seriesyeah that's a pretty good reason. I'm with ya Hambone to Nascar Mexico
You know ****s gettin’ real when yes-man MW is speaking out
He has big point, the major one.MW has a point kinda, much fat can be trimmed and some of it has already happened, I think we will see even more, for next year. The big owners have a strangle hold on things as they stand, it has to be easier for new blood to get into the sport.
Sponsors having been coming and going since the beginning of NASCAR.So what are all of you apologists going to say when the next big sponsor drops?
You know ****s gettin’ real when yes-man MW is speaking out
No..really? Have they been dropping from champions like JJ and MTJ in the last 2 years?Sponsors having been coming and going since the beginning of NASCAR.
Look at the 80s and 90s cars tell me those don't resemble stock?Nascar hasn't been stock since the early 60's
Yes but they were far from stock,Look at the 80s and 90s cars tell me those don't resemble stock?
yeah my point about Mikey's quote is the difference between a 20 buck shock and a 20 thousand dollar set. Having to buy from your affiliate with a deathgrip on parts instead of the open market is one of many ways to save money.Nascar hasn't been stock since the early 60's
after Dale Sr died. Imagine thatI remember when the stands were sold out and ratings were off the charts.
Do they look more stock than what we have now? Can the fans identify with them?Yes but they were far from stock,
Shoot, to be honest, I can't tell one car from another unless I look at the badge.Do they look more stock than what we have now? Can the fans identify with them?
But we could back in the 90s and 80s, that's the problem.Shoot, to be honest, I can't tell one car from another unless I look at the badge.
To me, all new cars look alike.
after Dale Sr died. Imagine that
these 1990 cars resemble stock?Look at the 80s and 90s cars tell me those don't resemble stock?
I work on cars for a living. Only way i find the right car first time is if the key fob makes the light flash or horn blow.Shoot, to be honest, I can't tell one car from another unless I look at the badge.
To me, all new cars look alike.
The shop is just that, a shop. Even if say GMS bought out FRR they wouldnt get the chassis or engine info that went along with it. Thats proprietary info. Thats gonna cost them millions more which is why I think the deal fell through.Stupid question but when Visser sells his charter, they do have a race shop in Denver right? Will that team use it or is the shop a separate transaction?
I don’t think Sr. or the lack thereof has anything to do with the current negative direction of the sport.after Dale Sr died. Imagine that
Kept him and let Logano go with a win, 7 top fives, and 18 top tens and a pole. Good move.Lol Denny even in a down year is 10th in points and has 3 poles. He goin nowhere
MaybePetty & RFR are next. When we get down to about 25 cars the industry can support itself. Maybe.

That's not a Grand Pri...nice try...Grand Amthese 1990 cars resemble stock?

I believe there are many factors including an aging car culture generation and an overall lack of stock car popularity among younger generations.
Regardless of the reasons, a sponsor bail on the current champ’s car is pretty serious.
HMS losing primary sponsorship on the 7-time car is equally alarming.
The ridiculous comment from NASCAR in TRL’s link is exactly what’s happening.
“Everything’s great.” If you don’t believe me ask NASCAR.
