College football 2023

Longhorns survive, miraculously, with a goal line stand in OT. K-State opted to go for the win rather than kick for double OT.

Historically we’re due for some upsets in the first week with CFP rankings. Hopefully the afternoon/evening slate can deliver some chaos.

Florida State has to have one of the lowest floors of all the contenders. They play down to some really weird opponents.

Hopefully Oklahoma and Oklahoma State get over themselves at some point and schedule to keep Bedlam going after this season. One of the most consistently entertaining rivalries of this century.

If PI is reviewable can they review and throw one for the one Oklahoma State just got away with?

They’re gonna talk about this game in the state of Oklahoma for a long time.

Wild that OSU lost 33-7 at home to a 4-5 South Alabama team and is now in the driver’s seat for a Big XII title game berth.

There's perhaps nothing more annoying in sports than the comeback upset that should have happened that doesn't. Absolutely botched by K-State

It was the perfect Saturday. Brian Kelly lost another big game, Notre Dame lost and the ‘Noles won. I’m easy to please😀

USC/Washington lived up to the offensive shootout defense optional hype
I’ve been kinda disappointed in Washington recently - either side of the ball seems liable to underperform the last three weeks - but they stay winning. Utah and Oregon State will be very tough defensive challenges the next two weeks.

Yeah me too, they haven't been looking the same since coming off the Oregon game, but they do tend to play better in Husky stadium unless it's Arizona State on a let down game, they better be on their toes for Utah and going into Corvalis is no joke. I did think they did well to get up for the USC game tho, was just a high-powered offensive affair on both sides and USC can do that to anybody, they made enough plays on the defensive side that I'm okay with it. Oregon may get an unexpected challenge since USC finally finally fired DC Alex Grinch, I'm not sure I've ever seen a coach get such leeway in an obvious "it's not working" situation.

Some big matchups once again this Saturday, we'll see who can take care of business.

This guy is going to wind up having coached half the season lol. The Big Ten release made it clear he can’t be at the game venue at all, so no coaches’ booth or locker room either. I think they still beat Penn State and Maryland but Ohio State just got that much more difficult. That game is going to be a rock fight, and I think missing him during a potentially tight, low-scoring game may hurt.

I mean if they broke rules, they should be punished..
The investigation hasn't even been completed. This is such a reach of a punishment that it's laughable. The Big Ten's own statement says they have no evidence Harbaugh had any knowledge. Anyway, the restraining order has been filed.

That was probably going to happen anyways tbh.

Rumors about UM regents wanting to join the SEC are pretty fun. Because in college football 2023, as outlandish as something may seem, you can never fully rule it out.
Michigan joining the SEC would be so weird. Apparently Michigan is actually seriously considering it
