nice car bill !!! man was peoria fast tonight... it was tacky and smooth... i had a blast in my heat race. you could throw a blanket over 1st , 2nd and 3rd.... never touched and man would the car go .. point and gas it. yeaaaaa!!!!!

good morning all, what a night at the peoria speedway! steve you look realy good ! steve jones took a ride , wow! rained like heck at the track, but i got back to pekin and dry as a bone in the desert! only 5 miles away. hmmm mother nature did some strange things last night. lisa experienced mechanical problems with the FEAR OF CLOWNS-MUSICMAN PRODUCTIONS JS7. get'em next week lisa! ray guss jr. put on a show in the R.C. racecars 112 mod. doing double duty also driving the Team 75 super L/M . steve, i talked with mrs. guss, ray had the BIG motor in the 75 last night. started last place in heat was leading in what, 5 laps? hmmm. car was working high or low. peoria speedway looked realy good last night! 2 and 3 wide racing all night till the rains came. oh, my friend crumbo the clown and his faithful dog jack put on a great show for us kids LOL :) the ring of fire is something!

Bill when you click on the trackside photos and look at mike jones' car notice the R/R wheel is gone lisa and steve have a BIG story to tell about where it went! :(

i was in the stands when the tire hit. lisa was in the truck it hit. i bet they total my truck. it cave the roof in , put a hole in it . bent the door frame and roof where the axle hit and busted the glass out. it did'nt hit the race car tho !!

You got that correct for sure Bill. Lisa was setting in her hauler when the tire came through the pits, it hit Steves hauler and bounced and hit Lisa's hauler in the drivers side door and Lisa was setting in it. It caved the drivers side door in. Yes the Lord was with her. I was in the stands with Ray Guss jr's wife watching the L/M's and one of the crew came running up and said the tire hit Lisa's hauler but she was ok. Bill you should of seen a this old guy hoof it back to the pits! Lisa's brother Donnie was pitted just a couple cars over from Lisa. Donnie was working on his car and he told me the tire and wheel sounded like a chopper comming through!
 
Went to Lincoln Sunday......................

Missed Ron and Lisa. Tuff Ruff put on a thrill show with a roll over, :eek: and didn't stop. The fella can flat out DRIVE.
Lisa, Ron told me bout the deal last Sunday. Raw deal. Features this week were chooo choooooo. sucked........................................BB
 
Yeah Rick is a good driver.Bill we are leaving for West plains, mo. wednesday, gonna do a little sight seeing, stop to visit relatives thursday then on to the showme-100. We've got rooms there at super-8 right up the road, and reserve seat tickets in section c right behind the flag stand! Don't get no better than that LOL!

hey ctr john ran at lincoln sunday i couldnt go but john did pretty good he got tore up a little in his heat had to run a semi started tenth got second started 17th in feature got third. so he had a good nite over all.was good seeing you at the races sat.nite. was sorry i didnt talk to you

good morning ya'll !! well i went and got estimates on the damage on the truck yesterday..holy chit !! 2700.00 !! i called sherries insurance company myself to get a claim going, steve did also...i cant believe she wouldnt offer to take care of it...wonder what she woulda done if it woulda hit someone?? its a bittersweet day today..the street stock is being sold :( the fella is coming from godfrey illinois to get it..im gonna cry i just know it ..lol oh well it musta not been meant for me to be in that class because everything that COULD have went wrong DID go wrong, so maybe it was Gods way of telling me to stay in hornets...even tho i hate it..at least i get to go out and have fun. but the best part of it is...i get to see my bestest buddy in the whole wide world every saturday..and that would be ctr !! we are like two peas in a pod...lol
 
racingcrazyjs7 i'l cheer for you no matter what you drive! I got a feeling you'l get an ss together in the future. ;) sorry bout the truck. i'm just glad you, steve or anyone in the pits were NOT hurt with the flying tire!
 
well , i'm sure lisa knows now that the insurance co. we talked to is'nt the one insuring the track. it's another.i tried to call back at the track later today and no one was there. so i'll call tomorrow to get more info. hope to get this settled soon cause today i had to go to mossville and going down the highway glass slivers was flying everywhere.

well i think its CRAP that she would even hesitate to take care of this..what if it woulda hit someone..then what..oh sorry you family member got killed or paralysed...its starting to pi$$ me off...i am trying to be patient and i pray that Sherrie does the right thing. if not, i wont be back at that track. but i think she will.
 
well, i got most of my stuff done and ready to leave tomorrow. i finaly got the peoria race track mud off the van, got the oil changed and gave her a grease job! i keep reading about the show-me 100 on other racing boards man i;m gettin anxious to get down there. i kidd you not, big dirty daddy and i have the absolute best seats in the house, we bought our tickets as soon as they went on sale. i'm sure gonna miss not making the saturday peoria race. i'l be on the phone callin someone to see how things went. :booya:

oh! before i forget to say it, GOOD LUCK to all you guys and gals this weekend. be safe and if i'm not just completely tired out i may see ya monday night at peoria. :unsure:

Hello from walnut ridge arkansas!

we are on the way to west plains. went by jeff folyds garage yesterday and and he and randy were loading the F1 in the hauler....buckaroo, the only race i've gone to this year at davenport was the WDRL race in early april, brian birkhofer won it. they race IMCA on friday nights and i have never been there. I know ray guss jr. drives brad coins car sometimes there, but i don't keep up with who's doing what LOL... i asked my brother if he remembered you, he said he might if he saw you, lots of ppl worked at farmall plant, he said he knew a lot of faces but names were tough to remember....

Ron, even if he might remember me, I probably won't remember him. :) I'm gettin' so old that sometimes I forget where I live. Not really, but it's been well over twenty years since I set foot inside that plant.

I'm heading out to Oklahoma tomorrow for a week, so y'all be good now and let's see some great racing. As I always say, eat dirt and have fun. :)

what a weekend! 1336 miles on the trip meter. i had a good time i think. LOL not much sleep and a lot of dirt. i had a great time yesterday. i spent most of the day in the pits with my long time [all my life] friend randy floyd randy races for many years and now his son jeff is doing well in L/M. jeff qualified 20th. time out of 88 cars. jefff lead the 4th heat for 19 laps and scott bloomquest got around him on the 20th. lap. jeff is a very smooth driver. he broke in the feature. he was 2nd to bloomquest in the attell modified 100 at batesville last year. i know i'm not typing very well but we got on to hwy.63 from the race track at 2:10 am today spent 40 minutes, an inch at a time back to the motel [6miles away]!! we hit the sack at 3:45 and the clock went off at 7am!! tim my kid, had to be in peoria at 3:pm today . we made it at 2:45 LOL. oh did i mention the race! wow, when billy moyer chub franks and johny jonhnson and on and on of the top L/m wodel drivers in USA didn't make the field it was a great race . not because they didn't make it, but because there was so much compitition! all the bs er on 4m talkin about on lane and all the other bs. i tell ya folks it was a race! wallace came from 12 to 2nd . yeah no passing. O.K.

P.S. oh, billy moyer did have some hard luck why he didn't make the showme 100. he got "moved up to the wall" while running 2nd in the semi and got passed by about 10cars while he was gathering it up., tough break for billy

CB, hope you're having a great time in Oklahoma. Yep it was fun at the dirt race. I had a 60 grit hot dog! LOL, but that "Bud" i washed it down with sure made it taste good!

steve it was 83 deg. when we got to the track at noon saturday. tim and i were in the pits with jeff and randy floyd, and hmmm,,, how do i say this,,, very nice looking young ladys running around in the pits 4-shore ;) that may be why they call it the show-me! :wink:

:whoopee: on a scale of 1 to 10 can you say 11! but i didn't look,,, much. i tell ya saturday the rep for miss mudslinger came around talkin to the drivers and i almost triped over a jack stand! LOL. i think she is one of dolly's cousins! oh and there's a littl place called "fillies" right up the road from the track i think some of the young ladys from there were injoying the race. i betya a good ole boy with all good intentions coulds be ,,,,lead astray, iffin ya'll know what i mean! LOL :lilangel: but i waz a good lille boy! yes i waz!! :D
