Bubba was a former JGR driver, but the lack of sponsorship was the primary reason why he was let go.
That is the hole in my theory....Just not sure how they would manage that. I am not sure how funded that ride is really. I kind of feel like they could shift people around the JGR/FRR companies to keep everybody in house until Chris was ready....or they find a one/two year guy. Dunno. It kind of feels like Barney is only into the second car for a couple of reasons: 1) JGR needed a place for Erik, 2) Another potential source of funding (not that he needs it, but he deserves it). I might be reading into things, but it just doesn't sound like the 77 is embedded in the FRR family the way the 78 is. I think Barney would be fine going back to a one car team until the second car was needed again. In terms of cars laying around.....Big problem if they were running the '17 Camry....not so big because they are a year ahead with the '18. That body won't be changing any time soon.
Just can't imagine that. He is just coming into his own in the Trucks. I think two years in Xfinity really. That would make sense though.
Sponsors do not want to invest in a dying sport, the steady decline of Nascar over the last 10 years has made sponsors very shy when it comes to investing. I see Matt stepping aside, maybe a part time driver or help with developmental programs plus keep his son on the fast track to a Cup ride.Plenty of money, but think about those sponsor's on the list.
Most of those sponsor's have been in NASCAR for sometime now. Some sponsor's come with the drivers, some sponsors are loyal with the teams. Guys like Annett, Koch, Gallagher, Suarez, Reed, Armstrong, Gaughan, Allgaier, Clements (family sponsor/team), Sieg (family sponsor/team), Black Jr. Most of those sponsor's are given to them.
I'm saying constantly attracting new sponsors. Its crazy enough to know that teams with history behind them are struggling to fill their billboards every week. Also, how much JGR, JRM, Roush, and RCR asking in terms of funding?
A ton of variables.

Joe has a special announcement about NASCAR letting t0y0ta having their suction fans and truck arm candy again.
LOL counting on Victory Lane for more post race interviews, I am pretty sure that the only driver that was interviewed( Texas race) was Johnson, Victory Lane has become useless thus far for the year, god how I cant wait for NBC to return, least they actually have decent post race coverage., so you have to go to Sirius for the post-race interviews and/or wait for Victory Lane on FS1.
YES!Silly boys, NASCAR is not dying. It is "right sizing".
I like the fact that a family can enjoy watching a race at home as an event every week (almost). You have the pre-race chores around the house, then you get the Green Flag snack/meal ready to go, then you can settle in for a light conversation, nap, or take the dogs out then get back for the end of the stage. Repeat. It is a very comfortable entertainment experience that just makes me feel great about America.
The bad part is the limited post-race coverage, so you have to go to Sirius for the post-race interviews and/or wait for Victory Lane on FS1.
I don't care if millions on millions of others are attending or watching the race. I like NASCAR because I like NASCAR. In fact, I would prefer less people who "kinda" like it, to show up and bad mouth it, as they seem to complain the loudest.
Get with the times, NASCAR is a fun experience!
I don't do twitter, so he isn't racing?Ross is done, check his twitter
Does anyone think if he was to leave gibbs he would go back to roush ??Kenseth has been driving into walls this year. It appears that he still has his health, a championship, and a bunch of money for his family's security.
If he's moving to a different team or just moving on -- good luck to him!
No....I think Jack is about to get out too.Does anyone think if he was to leave gibbs he would go back to roush ??
Oh, hell no. Whenever he leaves Gibbs, the only place he'll be going is what we in the military refer to as 'Fort Livingroom'.Does anyone think if he was to leave gibbs he would go back to roush ??
I don't do twitter, so he isn't racing?
Ok thanksRoss Kenseth @RossKenseth
He has helped me a lot. Just didn't work out for me in the long run
Pixie @pixiethecutepup@RossKenseth just wondering why your dad couldn't help you get into racing like Bill Elliott helped Chase? Or Jeff Burton and his son?
YaaaaaassssssBubba to the #77
Anybody know what time this sucker is?
No one is talking about this. Are we even sure it is going to happen?
Well Pete and Mike aren't talking about it on NASCAR Radio because Pete needs to talk about his Easter meal.
Anybody know what time this sucker is?
Thanks. Where did that come from?
The minds sure wander around here without you to keep us straightSorry for the delay, been on vacation. It's to announce a new sponsor. No biggie.
