NASCAR considering radical changes to playoff system

Now I get it ............. the ONLY record ever set by Joey
Hang on to it man
Not true... youngest cup winner.. youngest nns pole sitter... most poles under 25 I think in both series... youngest winner at pocono.. yougest winner at michigan... youngest pole sitter at bristol.. sonoma.. pocono.. michigan ..Kenctucky and Loudon... I dont think thats all thats just off the top of my head :D

... might still get most cup wins under 25.. 2 years to get 8 wins... not likely but possible.. especially if he runs like he did last season

Just givin u a hard time buddy :D

Sounds like that is where Carl wishes they would start too.

I think it was in 2010 that Carl tried to champion Pearsons comments that nascar needs to rip the aero stuff off the cars and make the drivers drive, but nascar wasn't listening.

Hopefully driver attitudes change enough that we don't have to watch Kasey or others simply follow a slower car playing the aero game. He should have moved Matt 2 or 3 times for wins last year. Just look at the blocking Kyle got away with at WG last year, and it's easy to see the racing is broken. These are stock cars. If you're faster, you're supposed to move the guy....or that's the way it was when everyone was watching.

honestly? That's a pretty good memory you have.

He looked that crap up ...................... it took him 30 minutes to reply to my post
Okay I looked up some... I forgot Kentucky, Loudon, Homestead and Chicago.. the rest was off memory... he only had 6 poles before this year and 2 were at pocono... the rest are all youngest winner stuff its not hard to remember.

Blocking ??????????? LMAO

A visual representation of what could have been under the new Chase system.

Jr Champ.jpg

Things were getting a little slow around here.

nascar needs to keep the format secret until just after the Homestead race, then hand the trophy to Jr and explain why.
He may be sixty years old when he gets one but they'll keep switching things up until he does.

Breaking News: inspired by NASCAR's new Chase format, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell announces that, beginning next season, any team that wins in Week 1 automatically makes the playoffs.

Great. Then I'll finally be able to buy the shirt!

Maybe they can apply the new Chase rules retroactively dropping Double J down to five and bumping my driver up to one and counting?

So you're hoping Jr can win a charity championship?

you sir, are a realist. That's a rare quality among Jr fans. ;)

Nascar changing the rules to get Earnhardt a champonship is akin to a gambler chasing his losses ;)

I think Carl got it right:

Right now, if I’m staring at the guy in the front window, it doesn’t matter if I’m racing for a billion dollars and 10 championships…if I can’t catch him, I can’t catch him. The only thing we can do to race harder is basically start running into people.

I think Carl got it right:
When asked whether under this system NASCAR expects that Brad K would have moved Kyle at Watkins Glen last season..

Brian France replied... "If it's late in the race and you've got a faster car, we expect some contact" as drivers battle for the win, France said. "Obviously, there are limits, but that's always part of NASCAR. Will this bring more of that? I'm sure it will to some level."

So basically... that's exactly what they want.

Which will breed a lot of heated tempers, more WWE crap in my opinion and it will give less credibility to Nascar instead of more.

yeah my thoughts exactly, not only that, but team racing, making sure all of their drivers win a race if possible. Of course the king will declare that isn't going to happen....like last year.o_O

Who needs credibility? :p lol I watch for the excitement of a battle for the lead.
Then you must like wrestling, I'll watch , but I'm going to be watching a lot less than I used to. Time was when I watched every lap, that ended about 5 years ago, basically all you need to watch is the last 50 laps. That's when most of the action happens. I think this "sport" and I now use that term loosely, will sink further into the abyss with all these gimicky changes.
