Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

I got an email from Auto Club Speedway today saying that scanners can only be reserved and rented online. No walk-ups allowed.
I have my own scanner but I think this online only policy is a bad idea.
I believe there will be a lot of grumpy fans when they get turned down trying to rent a scanner on race weekend.
I expect it will speed up the pick up and turn in processes.

I’d really love to know what was the cause in NASCARs insurance policy changes from 2014 to 2019.

I'm guessing it was Austin Dillon tearing down the fence and scattering parts through the grandstands.
Well that’s interesting to me because:

2014: 850 HP
2015: 750 HP
2016: 750 HP
2017: 750 HP
2018: 750 HP
2019: 550 HP / 750 HP
2020: 550 HP / 750 HP
2021: 550 HP / 750 HP
2022: 670 HP (510 HP plate tracks)

I think they move the numbers to far forward.
