I hang out mostly in the podium because I am not fit to be in the general population
It only takes one Ford to win it all......That is two cars. Two. How many Yota's out there now?

Let’s face it, the whole Danica marketing thing is dead in the water. For the first year or two, NASCAR and sponsors had something they used to try and lure in new fans. However her consistently poor performance has just gotten tired, and what little new band-wagon fans she has are more than likely gone. The die-hard apologists will have something to say, but the 10 car needs a real driver. Would be nice to see Carl Edwards come out of retirement and finally give the 10 car a genuine chance.
The whole paradigm is backwards. Drivers are not supposed to bring in new fans to the sport, the quality of the racing is supposed to do that. Once people start watching, then they become fans of a driver.

Problem is the people that are grounded are often labeled as haters.A+ post and good to see that some people are still grounded to reality.
Dave Pericak, the global director of Ford Performance, said Monday that Danica Patrick’s No. 10 Ford will remain on the race track this season “one way or another” despite major sponsorship shortfalls.
The problem is with the exception of probably Kyle Larson all of them got here from money rather than pure racing talentWe need some of these young kids coming in to make a splash and become the next Jeff Gordons and Tony Stewarts.
Aunty is a sarcastic soul.
Ford Performance global director Dave Pericak appeared on a Monday media teleconference and pledged to support SHR’s intent to have four full-time teams this season -- including Patrick and the No. 10.
"We’re going to let that play out, unfortunately, through the court system and see how it works out," Pericak said. "I’m hopeful we’re going to come to a resolution on that. At the end of the day, what I can say is that you have my commitment, the commitment from Stewart-Haas Racing and everyone that is involved, that it is not going to affect our ability to hit the track and run that car and run it the way it needs to run.
Aunty ????? He ????? Damn I was sure it was a femaleYou don't have to do anything to Aunty as sometimes he just takes a shine to you......
Actually SHR was never anything other than financial burden for Gene Hass.Reality has an ugly way of slapping one in the face doesn't it? Oh how the mighty (SHR) have fallen!
You are #1.I'm offended.
I take pride in my raving lunacy.
Dreams stuff up during his afternoon naps.Actually SHR was never anything other than financial burden for Gene Hass.
This deal made between RH and GH who handed part ownership to Tony but it was up to him to make it all work. The 41 car was not a burden to Hass as it was his idea to hire Busch to drive his car which he sponsored. Now that Gene is racing in F1, I wouldn't be the least surprised if he sells his part of the company. If he doesn't do it soon it won't be worth 2 cents as I don't see Tony or any of his employees capable of running this company successfully.
and as usual time will prove me correct. How many years has Tony and management team had and other than the 4 car they haven't had full sponsorship on any other car. The 4 car sponsors are the same people Harvick had at RCR. Some of them have been sponsors for Harvick when he had his own Xfinity team. They are his sponsors and the reason he was hired.Dreams stuff up during his afternoon naps.
*BOLD PREDICTION* - Danica earns 2 top 10's and a top 5 this season. Ford won't let her be "the experiment" anymore. They'll give her good stuff and see if she's worth the investment. *prepares for horde of angry villagers*
Danica will get a top 5 finish this year, I guarantee it
^ gut feeling. I just think Danica gets more aggressive this year, and Billy Scott and the guys start hitting on some setups. They are due

They need to hit the ground running. She needs every good finish possible to get some attention back in her field.
I want Danica to excel this year and continue her career. Just can she get the results, we will find out.
I cant disagree,..this year is set up to Danica's best. Ford is behind her 150%, she has some time in with Billy......
I mean, it wasn't really intended to be a drive-by. I've been following this and the banished Danica thread and it just seems like the overall impression is that she was never getting the best stuff. These Ford honchos don't seem content to let that ride, as they have far fewer competitive horses in the race than either Chevy or Toyota, and they seem committed to changing that. It could all be lip-service, but I do see her getting more aggressive this season and it's the first she'll have had a repeat crew chief. It all sets up for her to either show what she's made of or fail miserably this year. I'm rooting for her to rise to the occasion, but she may not. We'll have to watch and see like everyone else.Nice drive by to get the pot stirred up but I will play along. From what you have said GM instructed SHR to make the 10 car an experimental mule and they complied but Ford is taking a different approach. They have instructed SHR to give the 10 car nothing but the best both in parts and personnel in order to max out performance for them so SHR will no longer have to sift through parts to make sure the 10 gets the least of the least. No more 10 year old chassis and 3 year old engines by golly!!!
The "lack" of sponsorship doesn't seem to have had an effect yet. Your disdain for this outfit is a matter of record.and as usual time will prove me correct. Optically, it seems like it. Lets hope its what occurs.Just curious but do you think that Ford is doing more for DP than GM?

I don't think it's necessarily "Junk", but experimental parts and set ups, things like that? HMS used to do that with Finch and Haas owned cars, it wouldn't surprise me if he was still throwing R&D stuff at SHR and Danica is the one shaking things down. Obviously that is **PURE** speculation, but I know for sure that it used to be a common practice for Rick. There was some chat the DP was not getting the good stuff but the way that parts are manufactured today most of them are identical so I don't know how or what the point would be in giving DP low horsepower engines and other things that would contribute to making a car slower.
