If JTG didn't see it coming, they either didn't understand what they agreed to, or just forgot. Either way, it was on them for not being on top of the situation. My understanding is that Buescher only did what he was obligated to do, and that is to inform Roush that he was indeed a free agent. The only question I have, is did Buescher REALLY want to go to Roush, or stay where he was? If he wanted to stay at JTG, wouldn't he have told them that if they didn't get this deal done by date X, then Roush would be able to snatch him away? Maybe Buescher way using Roush as a bargaining chip, not thinking they would actually exercise the option? Either way, I can't see where Roush did anything wrong, and you can count on one hand the number of times I've defended them in the last 30 years.
