Still waiting Eillot's win

My Chase Elliott picture with the Hooters girls in bikini’s got deleted again. Apparently a race car driver surrounded by attractive girls in bikini’s is in poor taste.

Our owner has decided NO bikini pics. Mainly because as time goes by, it becomes more skin and less bikini.
Some were getting close to outright porn.
If you wish to see such pictures, there are many, many sites devoted to such pictures. Go there and look to
your heart's content.

Oh well, at 75 those pics don't even get the heart rate up.

Not this again.

Lol. We didn't see any fire from him after Martinsville? Phoenix much??? Have you watched him on the plate tracks?

He's driving a damn dump truck, Larson can't even win.

BTW...Erik Jones is going on a year and a half of no wins. BUST. And he's in a Toyoter. Just saying...he hasn't even put up half the numbers Chase had at that point. Carry on.
To be fair Chase has been choppy at plate tracks since his first 500

I know this sounds weird..... but I've had multiple dreams lately about meeting Chase, telling Chase he's going to win soon, watching Chase win, it's so weird because although I really like Chase as a person he's clearly not my favorite driver LOL. I know why this comes to mind because of last year.... but in my dream he wins at Dover for the first time. Lol.

LOL I have sports dreams. Not as often as I used to though. The most recent NASCAR one I can vividly remember was dreaming that Gordon was going to win the fall Texas race in 2014 to go to Homestead. Well we all saw what happened that night...lol At least he came close I guess.

I usually dream about something more meaningful and spiritual. Like the time I dreamed about cussing out everyone out at the highway department.

Man the Chevy cars are trash this year. I don't think Elliott is half as good as most on this board do and I thought he'd have two wins by now.

Who drives a Chevy that is a great road racer? How much older and more experienced were the drivers who finished ahead of Elliott today?

I didn't even watch and I know strategy decided the outcome more than anything. Are we really trying to say that Elliott is GOAT for finishing third?

And I wasn't even talking about today. I was saying I'm surprised that he hasn't won yet and I don't think he's the second coming like most fans do.

Breaking news.

Chase's Sonoma finishes his first 3 years: 21st, 8th, 4th. He qualified 3rd. So no it wasn't strategy, he's actually proof that there's a learning curve and that hey holy cow, he's actually getting better! He's the most consistent young driver on the circuit with Larson, and there have been stretches where he's even more consistent than him (last year's playoffs). The wins just haven't fallen his way yet.

In fairness to Elliott, he started third, ran in the top five basically all day and didn't put a wheel off or put a scratch on the car. Yes, the 9 car's strategy was better than some, but that doesn't change the fact that he was up front all day and drove a VERY good race. Just for reference the road course GOAT, Jeff Gordon, got HIS first top five in his fifth Cup RC race too.

Chevy isn't winning anything. Chase has little say in the matter, I'm afraid.

If the Camaro wasn't such a turd, he'd probably have at least one win this year. He was really coming on toward the end of last year, I think the new car busted his momentum a bit.

But yeah, I've always thought Chase will more likely be the next Dale Jr. rather than the next Jeff or Jimmie. He's coming up on 100 starts without a win (Michigan will be his 100th start), I think we all thought he'd have several in the bag by now.

I too am surprised he hasn’t won at least one Cup race yet, I still think he will get the job done this year too but it’s looking a mighty mountain to climb with HMS not really figuring out the Camaro yet. If he has zero wins come the checkered flag in November at Miami, then I’ll be worried about the bust factor but not right now. Seems all Chevy teams not driven by Larson are struggling.

People jump on him way too easily. He will be just fine 10 years from now he will probably have like 30 wins

Call me crazy if you want, but I still believe that if HMS can ever manage to give him a car on par with what Truex, Ky Busch and Harvick have, he can be a dominant force in the sport. I still haven't seen ANY driver under 30 that I would rather have as my driver, and that includes Larson.

Man, Chase Elliott fans are worse than Gordon's fans were. I even said that the Camaro is a turd and, if it wasn't, Chase would have a win by now. But apparently I'm just bashing him.

Probably because some yea who is trolling him.

The Elliott naysayers are just as bad as the Gordon trolls were so I guess it's par for the course. He's not in the 24 car anymore, you all can find another target.

More like the Gordon trolls during his winless streaks just begging for him to be washed up and never win again.

It's similar to what is happening to Johnson, and it happened with Stewart in his declining years. Some like to kick a person while they are down. With the new points system that nobody can figure out, Johnson and Elliott increased their lead over the Jones boy after Sonoma. The Chevy's continue to improve despite losing the 4 car SHR team which was a huge blow that most aren't considering.

I will only defend somebody as far as I feel they need defending, and I try to be honest and fair concerning the abilities of ALL drivers, even the ones I don't like, but it felt to ME that you were taking a pot shot at Elliott, intended or not. Nobody is the second coming or the GOAT until they ARE, so I try to never get caught going down that road. I DO feel that Chase CAN be those things, but it doesn't mean a damn thing until he does. You didn't do yourself any favors by saying you didn't watch the race. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that when you DO watch, and you key in on a specific driver and watch every move they make over a period time, you often develop different views than those that watch a person casually or not at all. All I can tell you is I have been watching guys go around in circles for 40 years, and wins or not, his car control, his attitude, his maturity, and effort seem as good to me as any I have seen. As I said, that is ZERO guarantee that the results will come, but in my opinion, he has the whole package. This is NOT 1975, and you are just not going to take a third or fourth place car and WILL it to victory lane. I turned off the broadcast yesterday confident that nobody in the field was going to get much more out of that car yesterday than he got, and that's the feeling I get most weeks. If that makes me an Elliott homer, then guilty as charged.

I am taking shots at his fans and the media. He's been hyped up for the past decade as the future greatest of all time. So far, that hasn't panned out, yet I still read on here how he's going to be a GOAT.

To me, Chase Elliott is just like the movie Black Panther. Very good but very overrated at the same time.
