Storage building

At some point will block off the ends. Maybe. Last picture is fairly accurate display of light level. Quite satisfied with the 50 bucks spent.

And yes...I need to get rid of the old TV stand as it's quite the catch-all/trash dump. Once weather fully breaks, maybe I'll get more done. Need to go to doctor and see if anything can be done about the vertigo. It's fairly consistent now. Pretty much know what movement makes me more dizzy than my usual state.

Kinda unrelated, but for sturdiness and a decent looking desk, I bought a Husky 62in work table and am using it in a walk-in closet for my son as a desk. The thing is bomb proof and adjustable. I picked it up for around $250.

Ran into guy I worked with 20 ish years ago while at Hardee's. I mentioned need to get rid of my tools. He said, i'll take them. Just built shop at home and tired of carrying tools back & forth. Cash money tomorrow morning. Gonna deliver it to him. Maybe 5 miles away. Be sooooo happy to see it all go. Selling waaaaay too cheap but want it all GONE!

You'll be surprised how few tools you need at this stage of life. Now you have room to add more junk that, in five years, will cause you to wonder what to do with it all.

Had dilated eye exam Jan 30th. Knew my Cataracts were ripe. They supposedly referred results to surgeon. Been waiting. Never heard a word about future appointment. Called my eye doc. WTF is going on? Shrug. We'll check. Don't hear anything. Go to office. What is happening folks? Shrug. We didn't hear back from surgeon. Here's a post-it-note with Surgeons name & number. Maybe you can call?

Ok.

Call and receptionist had zero interest in answering ANY questions. Lots of WAIT WAIT WAIT when I tried to explain why I called. Had to give her my name 3 times. Just seemed kinda pissed i'd called. I eventually got to explain, had exam at another office. Was referred to your office. More confusion. They went all Sargent Schultz on me.

Said I will have to schedule an appointment for a dilated eye exam. Again. Tried to ask about referral...doesn't matter/count. Have to start all over again. Now have appointment for JUNE 7th! It's gonna be 2024 before they do anything at this rate. Actually, gonna do some poking around and try to find a different place to deal with.

I'm about pissed off.

And I'm kinda wondering about the whole payment/billing deal of this whole thing. Eye doc billed Medicare $340 & charged me 45 bucks out-of-pocket for the drugs for dilation. So...now have to do it again. Or will the next exam be rolled into the surgery cost? IDK!

Dry between your toes folks!

Tried to call Duke to schedule an appointment. After listening to the usual 3 minutes of options, since they've recently changed, press zero to speak to a person...

Hung up 18 minutes later. Personality flaw. I have no patience.

I'll try again next week. Man I hate our healthcare system.

Talked to somebody that's been thru this whole deal. She claimed probably won't get billed again for the next exam. It should be rolled into the surgery billing. Gonna do some kicking of some tires Monday and see if can use a different doctor. Still don't understand how it got referred but that doesn't create an appointment or at least make the office personal reach out to you. Receptionist not only didn't seem know about the referral, even worse, gave the impression didn't care.

She's off my Christmas card list!

Blew the doors off so could get it inside by myself. 30 bucks from Restore. Storage space!🤪. It has to weigh 150 lbs with the doors and everything installed. Going to put casters on so easier to move around.

Have casters coming from Amazon. 12 bucks. Didn't do a thing to it this afternoon. Need to do some cleaning of inside with furniture polish. Trying to figure out the staging of everything. Don't want it to block too much of the window AC I still have to put back in.

Stuffed AC in the window. Not exactly way I wanted but it blows!🤪 Plan to acquire a file cabinet to put in one of the holes in the entertainment center. Since gonna start going to doctors, need to keep track of info better.

It has wheels! Wiped the dust off/out of inside. Considering building drawers to fill the hole where TV is supposed to go. Would require different hinges for doors if I decide to put them back on. The doors would cover all the hackery...

After thinking about how heavy it already is and will be adding weight when filling it, probably need to rethink the wheel mounting.

60 Dollar work bench. Has to weigh close to 300lbs. I'll replace that ridiculous shelf with 2x4 & plywood. At least it's screwed together with good screws. Be easy to revamp. Legs are 39 inches. That's way too close to my upper lip. Will shorten legs and likely install casters. Probably take my other bench apart to use wood for a different purpose. All the 2x4s where warped anyway. Made for a wobbly bench. New one been out in the rain for 3 days. Wasn't the plan...just too heavy to move around whole bunch.

were...where...whatever.

Never did actually learn to type. Just fake my way thru. Be better when I can see. Do suspect this keyboard is dying. Either that or I just suck at typing. Has to be the keyboard. Right?

Had Doc appointment Tuesday for physical. Checked BP, weight, height & listened to heart and lungs. Took blood for Labs. Sending a bowl to take a dump in for colon cancer test. She asked if wanted a prostate exam and after seeing her hands were twice the size of mine, nope. I'll go with the lab results...that part about her hands might be a lie...

Got call this morning with lab results. Prediabetic (like I was 40+ years ago) with slightly elevated cholesterol (Like it was 40+ years ago at last physical). So no worries. Will cut back on sugar/sweets, maybe eat less biscuits & gravy. But mostly get off my butt and try to lose 20ish lbs. Weigh 205 and am 5'9" in heels and LBD. <you always have to sort thru my drivel for the truth>

No meds for anything. Didn't have any suggestions for vertigo. Oh well. I'm 65. How much more of this crap am I gonna have to live thru anyway!

Stirred my soup.

Even did some in the house too. Finally bought an Air Fryer. Was a big tote in this corner. Going to have to change the casters on this old bar so can move it around. Tried lubing them and they move freely but just don't want to work.

The fridge & old TV stand in shed go to the neighbor that's 30 feet away. He keeps wanting to pay me for them. I just want them gone.

Did a little to the bench. That shelf must weigh 70 lbs all by itself. Crazy. Probably get couple treated 2x4 to replace the warped ones I put on. Put them on inside. Still have to shorten legs.

Just a tip for anyone reading my drivel. If you use Speedtest.net to check your internetz speed, be aware, the one on Spectrum's site which is a browser version, reads slower than the App you can search for. About 150 mbps slower. Get 567 wired and 331 wi-fi with the app version. Browser ver not even 200. Weird. Don't NEED 500. But more power is more power amiright?

Ordered a 35 foot Ethernet cable. Will get another stick of this to shove it thru under the trailer.

Ethernet cables came with little fasteners so can run across the ceiling. Already have the PVC conduit run under trailer but the ceiling mount seems like way to go.

Cobble man cometh bringing new "drop cable". I dugga dugga a bit to find the 220 lines I've run since old cable line was put in. So they maybe don't get killed running their little scooter to bury it. Just in case they somehow do it when I'm gone. This tech said drop had some noise on it. Time to change it!🧐😉

Bench exploded...gonna use the top and re-create the rest. Badly I'm sure. Got casters for it. Need to see if I have lag bolts? Think bought extra last time...where did I put them? Found the eggs I boiled couple days ago in the freezer...maybe they in there too?😂🤪😉

Have to add two more footish long 2x4 for the self. Only issue found is the casters I bought mounting base is wider than I'd like. Either send them back, which I hate to do, or shorten legs 1.5 and put 2x6 feet on.

Stood it up. Raining a little. After looking thru the box of casters found it has lag bolts but they have Phillip heads. Me no like. Be two hours of screwing. That was a goal when I was a younger man. Not anymore.
