Storage building

Bolted the vise on bench. Think I'm gonna buy a wheeled miter saw stand. I just can't make up my mind about where to put it on the bench so it won't get rained on. About HAVE to enclose the porch to put it there as the rails will rust if left in the weather. On rolling stand, can put it in shed.

Doc says pre-diabetic & cholesterol little high. After 50 + years of eating burgers & fries I don't know what they expected! Eliminated Dr Pepper, using 1 teaspoon of honey in my tea instead of 3 teaspoons of sugar, bought Air Fryer although not using it much.

Broke down today and pigged out on Red Baron pizza. That stuff is barely pizza. Need to get moving so can drop 25 or so lbs. Maybe an hour outside today "working" just kicked my butt. If feeling like this is the requirement to live another 20 years...nope. I'll just eat Hardee's Biscuits & Gravy for breakfast until I die. Not eating anything that tastes good leaves me without the will to live. Screw it.

Honey replacing sugar for pre-diabetics is an equal tradeoff. While honey doesn't spike the carb levels as quickly as sugar, it is equally as bad as it balances out ti being like sugar in the end.
Try using Splenda or Equal as sweetener. We gotta make trade-offs to eliminate sugar from our diet.

Look what followed me home from the pawn shop?🧐

Need to decide whether to attach couple wheels or just get a hand truck/dolly?

One of the brackets has an issue with the release handle. The safety doesn't unlatch. I found why but new brackets are only 50 bucks set. Can't buy repair parts cheap enough to suit me. Not sure if going to cobble a patch to make it work or just buy another set. Think can make it work properly with couple zip-ties. The way it's "broke" just makes the saw harder to get off. Not a safety issue.

Will put wheels on it though. Maybe add a "kickstand" to that end too so can put saw on and it stand up without it being likely to fall over. Found a company that sells kits to do just that. Be a 700 dollar stand when all done. NOPE!

I'll cobble something up. Damn stand is heavy all by itself.

If I decide to spend any money probably go with this kit. Seems the original design has several issues. can break in multiple ways.

Don't have the patience to deal with people/traffic/society. Plus, go in a store and within 5 minutes, get wobbly from turning my head/moving my eyes too much. Damn vertigo.

Otay...need something to attach this with. Something else. Just crooked enough to bother me. And I do acknowledge I have 27 feet of bench I'm not using. Tis habit. Once I get this done, the bench will be cleared off! Used u-joint straps as clamps. From O'Reilly. Junk.
6 bucks EACH!

Going with the tubing & 1/2 threaded rod. Making my own straps out of some stuff. Can't find the vise grips I'm looking for. So I'm sitting on the throne typing this ****.

Went to work making it happen. Gaining. Will cut ends of axle to length last. Using old push mower handle to make a kickstand. Battery died in drill about same time I decided to take a break.

Porch roof started leaking about 3 weeks ago. Finally dried out some and think I found the issue. What I call J track, aluminum strip that is screwed around top of trailer like a hatband is what attaches the galvalume roof to the walls. It's maybe 2" wide top-to-bottom, 3/16" thick. It's an extrusion. When viewed from end has a J attached to one side. That J is supposed to serve as a gutter of sorts. The J is maybe 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch. If I was doing this over, would have removed the section above the porch and replaced with something? What is happening is rain is getting past where the original porch roof builder "plugged" the J track so water couldn't flow into/under the porch.

If I hadn't gotten super dizzy (vertigo) right at the time the actual roofing was being installed, like to think I would have seen the issue. Maybe grind/clean the J out good and clean and fill it with fiberglass? Something permanent. I'll add a picture of the hackery that was done before I moved in here.

Previous "repair/bandaid" be cracked! Like my butt...

Wider shot of the hackery and end of the J track/gutterish crap.

Here we go. If the place ever actually gets signed over to me, be major overhaul. Probably just add 8 foot to this side full length and put rafters over.

For anyone that's about to scream about the roofing sticking up at transition, three layers of roofing there. The top layer should have had some weight left on it overnight to get it to stick better.

Poured for maybe 10 minutes. Tarp at this window is wet but probably because THERE'S A BIG HOLE BESIDE IT! Wind blowing through. My repair seems to have worked. File too large...sometimes this site's software is a pain in the duck.

Too much lean for the salvaged tubing. Either put a 2x4 foot on it or change length of spacers. Decisions decisions...before anyone asks, the foot moves. It' just happened to be pointing staright up. Wish I could still do that.

Stumbled onto couple spacers. I will do it...eventually. Broke down and ate too many carbs 2 days in row. Didn't feel great after. Not emotional...more like, think I might puke.

Aborted attempt at finishing this mess. Raining sideways. 10x10 shed is just big enough to piss me off. If can get this thing so saw stays on it, hopefully get both benches cleaned off. Need more shelves or hang pegboard. Have some and the hooks. I hate pegboard. Just never works like you think it will.

WRAL Weather saying Raleigh weather radar done got kilt by lightening. Services will be announced at later date. Using a signal from Virginia. Torpedo warnings!🤪

What I've considered, to get more storage space/organization, is to buy some old chest of drawers and just add the drawers to the benches. Also why I want the miter saw so it's easily useable. Have some ideas. Just making them happen might prove difficult. Maybe 1.5 months to get one good eye. Then couple months after that get other done. Assuming the surgeon says I have cataracts that can be treated. At this point I have zero faith in the previous eye doc I went to. Seems to have been a complete waste of time & money.

As I suspected tubing is too thin to be safe. Might just build a frame inside the mower handle out of 2x4. Be fugly but I ain't Tom Cuize.Good news is, I swear, when I was polished the rust off the shafts...it moved.

Might just replace the crossbrace with a 2x4 and see how that works. It's what's acting like it could break at any second. DON'T WORRY! I disarmed it before putting it away. Put saw on table. Need to rebuild the DeWalt brackets to make them easier to activate. Have to hit Hazzard Fright and replace some of the tools I sold.

Man my tinnitus is freaking screaming. Really haven't figured out what kicks it off.

Getting mattress up steps is like shoving wet spaghetti up a wildcats arse. Neighbor 50 feet away was outside doing something but suddenly had to leave right as I was about to stuff this thru the door. He saw me. When he came back said he thought I was moving out. Never offered any help. I just don't get people today.

Boards edit timer screwed me again...

Good thing it only had to go straight ahead about 12 more feet.

Found the lost remote too while setting bed up. Have bed on the plastic stands to raise it up. They are like playing Dominos if you move the bed. Have to put box spring on then lift corner at time and stick them under. Sorta rubic cubish.

Mattress (Beautyrest) was $188 & change at Wake ReStore. Probably should get a new box spring too ($75)

No progress on finishing the saw stand. My vision is getting worse by the day. Probably start walking to Hardee's for breakfast. June 7th appointment with surgery center to try this all over again. Appears first eye exam was a complete waste of time & governments money.

Walked to Food Lion for Dawn dish detergent. About mile round trip. Nearly dead flat. Around 70 degrees with at least 10mph breeze. Perfect weather.

Had 3 strokes, two heart attacks and a hysterectomy on way back.

I LOVE MY RECLINER!!! Opened the trailer doors and turned off the AC.

I WANT A ****** CHEESEBURGER!!!
