Tony Stewart running over someone?

There is no way Tony purposely hit this kid. Tony may be a hot head, but in his years of racing under some of the biggest pressured situations never did anything close to that. But now at some small track in New York with some random driver? Nope not buying it.

More than likely an accident. Still this will be hard for Tony in a lot of ways. The media hit, and knowing he took a life. I am sure a civil suit as well. Tony may race again, but best days are probably gone.

Kevin came after him on the track (reportedly). If he lunged out for stewart & tony attempted to get away & as a result took kevin with him - thats not exactly tony's fault?

Youre always told as a kid not to play in the road. You'd think people would have the brains not to approach a moving race car on track. What about the safety crews? Are they not responsible to keep drivers from walking back out onto the track & doing stupid **** like this (if its true)?
That's not as it appears

if some reports are true tony may not be able to race

he'll have a jumpsuit, just not fireproof

may not be all Tony's fault....but just it happening, being party to it, i think he's done.

A civil suit is 100% guaranteed. Tony is a rich man. He might even settle with the family before they have a chance to file anything. I'd be more worried about criminal charges at this point.

Press conference is suppose to be taking place in 10 minutes

I have always had a problem with drivers running out on the track to show their anger towards another driver. Now, maybe they will crack down on this kind of behavior.

If he was trying to kick out the rear end to intimidate him or make his displeasure known it's incredibly reckless. Not at all intentional but reckless nonetheless.

If a press conference already then my guess is they are ruling it an accident. If there was any slight proof that he may have done it on purpose they would hold out on a presser until all facts were in.

youtube is full of videos of his temper, and all the footage Nascar has, it can't be good.

Still, that isn't Tony. He may have words or lunge at other driver to pull their hair, but to use his car in that manner. Nope, still not buying it.

He's done plenty of dumb things like spin Gordon in the pits at Bristol and run Kenseth into the grass during the '06 500.

That move he put on Kenseth freaks me out every time I watch it. Could have been much worse than it actually was.

We still don't know any facts yet...but the boy has gotten 3 years older in the last few news flashes. He went from 17 to 20 years old.

Im leaning towards this or the kid was being stupid & got too close for comfort to Stewart's car and got swepped up.

Kevin Ward's Sprint Car

Right or wrong Tony is ruined. A seat in the Sprint Cup series is driven by sponsorship. In simple terms nobody will care to be associated.
Its not like drivers havent been injured by other drivers before. We dont even know the true condition of Ward yet. We have no idea how any of this occurred.

Lol @ us...

But yeah... Camera shifts but it appears he's running away from Tonys car. The kid was way out in front of him though... Can't tell how high up the track stewart was...

Very ugly video. Watch at your own risk..

That video....................wow.

Tony was definitely a bit higher than the car in front of him. I doubt he did it on purpose and I don't know enough about how the cars handle to tell you how he could've taken evasive action.

Stewart stopped immediately afterwards. You know he didn't mean for that to happen.
