hey guys i havent been reading much on races lately been to busy. frank has there been any updates since last weekend?? seems i havent seen one in a while kinda lost on my points.

Yeah Frank what's up wit dat??? Maybe after this weekend as there seems to be a lot of races on the schedule. See everybody that goes to Bolivar at Bolivar? Can't go to Lebanon, Fantasy Football Draft way to important to miss

If he goes with the original 2 nights or option 2 I will more than likley go. Option 1 and I will pass. Had one guy on the bus trying to talk me into going up and I was getting off I turned to ask if he was for sure going and he said if the bus goes he's on it.

When I first saw the price I thought it was a lot of money too, and it is. But the more I get to thinking about it, the more I think I need to make this trip. $199 ain't a bad price for 2 days of racing and 2 nights in a hotel when you look at what you get.

Vega didn't get me the points for the last week of Racefest and with him putting the fair show on last weekend, I didn't want to bother him as I know he had more important things to do. I figured after he got the points to me this week after everything is scored I'd put out last week's and this week's updates.

Didn't I understand that you were including the Show-Me 100 and Topless into the chase for the MARS Cup?!!!!! :rainfro: Using the "Full Standings" on VT? :punkrocke

Come on now Frank......think sensibly........what would the MARS Cup be if we didn't include two "crown jewels" of DLM racing into the chase :growl:

Those two races are in our backyard........most of us attend them........they're right there on MARS VT..........and the "Full Standings" are already figured for us!!!!!!! What else do we need? :waver:

Anybody else buying this except for Cliff?! :beerbang:

Actually last year they did count even though they said special events but this year they got it fixed...It wouldn't matter to me which way it was counted but I think the majority wanted it this way..By the way here you go Bork...LOL... :bazooka: :dual9mm: :partytime
 
Cool thread about Fort Smith Rob, I may jump in there with you all later on. I'll try to think of a few more names to through into the conversation and get some more old memories rekindled. If you will, please post the site over here, I have a feeling they're getting ready to wipe the thread off there again?

Mike, about 6 or 7 years ago I started the first Southwest Missouri thread on 4M and it had to do with SW MO racing history. Nvssei saved it on CD and got me a copy. I've been making copies for whoever wants them. PM me your address and I'll get you one in the mail. If your dad has a computer and you can't make him a copy, I'll get him one too. There are some old stories of the Ozark Speedway on there and stories of drivers I'm sure your dad will remember, probably you too. Jimbo mentioned the Racing From the Past site on there, and that site didn't have very many pictures back then!

Anybody have a scanner that would scan some photos of the mid 80's. Everytime we would go to the races mom would give me a dollar to buy a picture. I would spend usually the whole time heat races were being run to decide on what picture I would get. I have some great pics of Ken Essary, Billy Moyer, Jeff Purvis, Larry Phillips and Bill Frye in his street stock. Some of the time I bought buttons, what was I thinking buttons are stupid!!
 
I would be happy do it for you if you want. The only problem is I'm in Las Vegas so you would need to send them to me and I'll scan them and reprint or put them on a CD for you (your choice) and send them back to you. :)

Hey Bruce, I'm making 118fan a copy of the original topic and just re-read the first 4 pages again. Those stories STILL amaze me! With all the new faces we have on the boards, do you think we may have to get that going again this winter? Man it sure made that winter memorable. If we get it going again we can copy some of the old stories from the old topic and post them on here and maybe get even better ones (that would be HARD to do) this next time!

BTW, have you heard anything out of Skip Pope in a while?
 
Only 2 races being scored this weekend, both MARS shows. Friday at Bolivar and Saturday at Lebanon.

Sweet reveng huh? According to Sooner Stats.com the score was 42-8. An Excllent Sooner team against a Hog team that should have not been in a major bowl game. I think the Hogs walked away from this game thinking they had a victory! Knowing their makeshift defense held the explosive Sooner offense to ONLY 42 points while their all but nothing offense scored EIGHT points on one of the best defense's of ALL TIME!

Everyone heading for Bolivar tonight have a great time!

I'll be working.......probably could have gotten the night off, but I need to be sure I continue to make more $ than I spend.

Should be at I-44 tomorrow. If Jane goes with me we'll be in tier parking, if not--- I'll be in the stands and I'll try to holler at some of ya'll in between MARS races.

BTW...........I'll be rushing home after work looking for some MARS results around 11:30 - midnight...................I'm sure some of you will be kind enough to toss some results at us poor souls whom do not get to attend. And maybe a description or summary of the race highlights.

im kinda thinking that bolivar may be "R" "O". ( i didnt want to say it ) but i hope they are able to get the race in.

Hey Vegas wife tells me this printer at my feet is actually a scanner too. Who knew but thanks for offering. Man I'm getting old I was exhausted and took a nap when I got home from work and didn't go to Bolivar. :idunno: Well looks like I got a 155 on VT tonight only got Mack in 5th
