Rob, are these gas prices gonna keep you away from Monett Sunday night? Is sure hope you make it up there, it should be some good racing, but if you don't go I don't blame you one bit. This is crazy!!!! I guess we're still gonna go to the in-laws up at Cuba this weekend.

I won't be at Lebanon will be at Monett. Darrin blew both motors open and spec so his season is over. They are running the Modified that they built at all three tracks it is driven by Jimmy Bellamy. Sunday night the spec went to pieces he even flattened two tires from the debris. what a way to end the season!

i did some checking on this gas thing. and this is what i came up with.

I was thinking about NOT going to West Plains for the MARS race. but then i started to put paper and pencil to it.

Round trip from Springfield to West Plains is approximately 240 miles. my truck gets a whopping 16 miles to the gallon. When you divide 16 into 240 you get 15 gallons of gas. Gas in Springfield is currently $3.19 and i never questioned going to West Plains for the Show-Me 100 when gas was $2.39(ish). So the difference between $3.19 and $2.39 is .80cents.

So, 15 gallons X .80cents is $12.00. And $12 is NOT going to keep me from the race, unless of course i have figured it wrong??? (im not a math major!)

Hey, any of you Racing Forumers that haven't introduced yourself to me do so as I am the one standing inside the gate waving programs for sell. I will probably be wearing my National Guard MOM shirt this Sunday. So stop and introduce yourself! And buy a program we have a few of the profiles for the MARS guys plus points (before Friday or Saturdays races of course).
Keep your eye on that blue and white 59 (Muilenburgs also run a blue/white 59) ours has a 'hot pink' looking 59, Jimmy has really improved alot. See where he got 5th at Bolivar !

It seems I got a lowly 130 for the Memphis Race last night. Does anyone know how many cars they had show up last night over there? Since Wallace won I look for the Dan man to have a good score. (He hass to have his favorite winning don't he ) He may be looking to take the lead back from Chad. Could be interesting!

I got a 190. wish I'd been getting scores like this at the beginning of the season. I figured out plan too late to make a difference. Gee I might have been ahead of Budweiser and Pictureman at the 3 local tracks if I would used my head sooner. Oh well next year.

The only problem with that is I didn't figure on him winning.........didn't pick him to win on the bullring.

So all of you guys can rest easy in knowing that I didn't do worth a darn with the Memphis MARS VT picks last night.

Oh well.........I'm really glad to see this points battle possibly tighten up.

Probably gonna head to West Plains tonight...........If I do----I'll give some results on here when I get home. There is no telling what time that will be, as West Plains is notorious for dragging out their shows.........always alot of down time and TONS of cautions in the support classes around there.

Have absolutely NO IDEA how to pick the MARS for tonight; maybe I'll just get crazy and toss something off the wall in there.

My score for Memphis all depends on whether it was DANE DACUS or JAMIE DACUS in the top 5. I had Jamie Dacus not Dane.

I too have seen several different results for the race. I'm figuring that it was probably Dane that got the top 5, as the only time I've seen Jamie in there was on VT.........and someone just probably plugged the WRONG Dacus into the results. I hope IT WAS JAMIE though!!!!........that would help my score.

I noticed that Sullivan is being placed in a few different positions also......I had him 4th........so hopefully that's where he landed.

No Jamie Dacus.....and no Sullivan in 4th....means I scored a whopping 110!!
Bad score. Had Floyd and Phillips winning....Frye 2nd (come on Bill!!!)

The current results on VT have me with a 145..........but I just don't think that will remain that way.

The worst part about all of this is I think Ben Shelton is out in Tennessee for the Lucas Oil race?.......so who knows when the official MARS results will be posted on the MARS website? Isn't Ben the webmaster for the MARS site?
It could be mid-week before we all really find out how we did on the Memphis race.

The MARS regulars really pounded on the Memphis regulars last night (bad for me). Would like to see where James, Elam, and the rest of the weekly racers at Memphis ended up.

Anyhow...........I'll be in and out of here and 4M today so maybe I'll chat with some of you all before I head to WP (maybe?).

I think you will eventually improve that score.........I would say it was probably Dane with the top 5. Every result I have seen says Dane........the only one that is different is on VT. Wrong results entered on VT probably.

I went back and checked the results page this morning, it was LATE last night when I cheked. I had Dane finishing 4th. If he instead of Jamie is fourth I will go from 130 to 170! Come on, let it be Dane, let it be Dane. (Singing, and beleive me you are lucky you can't hear it! LOL)

I just heard from my cousin that was at MMP and he never said anything about Dacus in the top five. He told me he thought it went 1.Wallace 2.Floyd 3.Sullivan 4. Frye 5.Phillips and 6.Wells .I guess we will have to wait and see. I know he said Wells was running 5th and had a tire going down and Phillips passed him on the white flag lap.
