I can feel my FEVER rising. Is it Sunday yet?
Cardoso has got to get out of Chicago.
There is now an argument to be made for Cardoso being the second best rookie in the league, and the Sky are still all about Angel and only Angel.
All-WNBA…lmao. This team is funny af.
I wouldn’t even like this **** if I were Angel. Quit stoking the flame at every chance you get and let me hoop. If she’s good enough her play will speak for itself. She’s already a star in her own right; you don’t need to pull every starter but her in the final minutes of a blowout to pad stats no one else is gonna care about, or claim she deserves every single league accolade like she’s A’ja Wilson or something.Chennedy Carter is an absolute headcase but I can see why she's beefing so bad this year. She is the best player on that team right now and it's not close, but the Sky remain invested in full in making Angel Reese the face of the sport in a way that's disrespecting its own players. Angel Reese isn't even playing and they're still spending more time hyping her up over there than hyping up their own players.
Somebody please save Kamilla Cardoso from riding the bench most of the year next year so Angel can get her double doubles.

I think Chicago is pretty much entirely checked out as a team at this point anyways, but there’s a tasty irony in them needing Indiana to win in order to have a chance at making the playoffs.Atlanta, Washington, and Chicago are still technically fighting for the 8th spot, but the Dream are kinda in the catbird seat right now. They currently hold the 8th spot by one game over Chicago and the Mystics, and they all have tough opponents tonight on paper. Chicago's on the road against Connecticut, Atlanta will be in New York facing the Liberty, and Washington will host Indiana.
Based on how the season series went between the three teams, if Atlanta wins or all of them lose, Atlanta's in. If Washington wins and Atlanta loses, which isn't out of the realm of possibility depending on who Washington has available and who New York decides to put on the court, Washington's in. Chicago would have to win (with Carter and Cardoso potentially out again) and have both Atlanta and Washington lose to make it in.
Feels like I'm talking about the odds for the top 3 in a pre-Chase final NASCAR race back in the day, except the prize isn't a championship, it's 3 dances or less with the SuperLiberty.
WNBA Playoff Picture 2024: Updated Bracket Scenarios and Standings Before Final Games
The final games of the 2024 WNBA season will be played on Thursday. While the postseason picture is largely set, many of Thursday's games will be meaningful.…www.google.com
I have some ongoing philosophical differences with you guys on Chicago, Connecticut, and some of their personnel, and I accept that.I think Chicago is pretty much entirely checked out as a team at this point anyways, but there’s a tasty irony in them needing Indiana to win in order to have a chance at making the playoffs.
This will take an heroic run to pull this out.
...I wasn't there.Only lost by 1 but not bad considering the starting five was in for half the game or less.
Pointless game, nothing to gain, nothing to lose.
Highest attended game in WNBA history at 20,711 spectators. And we all know that 20,700 of them were there to see Caitlin Clark. Okay, maybe 20,699, the WNBA was a growing sport before Caitlin Clark graced us with her presence after all.
...I wasn't there.
...I haven't watched those games yet. I'm so far behind that I'll probably be ready to start watching the first round of the playoffs once the Finals begin. You were one of the 125 people watching the games on TV.
Sorry, sorry, growing sport, 126.
That's a reasonable prediction. I'm looking forward to seeing how the playoffs unfold, but for me, like I keep saying, all bets are off thanks to that three game first round series. As a great man once said...Anyone wanna do some prognosticating?
New York over Atlanta
Minnesota over Phoenix
Indiana over Connecticut
Las Vegas over Seattle
Las Vegas over New York
Minnesota over Indiana
Minnesota over Las Vegas
Okay, I definitely did a double-take after I cheated and looked at the box score for that Vegas/Dallas game. I'm 100% watching it once I get to that point. That Aces bench apparently took their previous loss to Dallas personally and took care of bidness. Somebody, along with Tiffany Hayes, went off!Aces are resting the Core Four tonight against Dallas, so Kate Martin minutes could be in the forecast for tonight.
No one on the injury report for Indiana, so I would imagine the starters will get 20-25 minutes and maybe take off the 4th.

Know thyself. As an extremely amateur sportswriter/commentator covering the W, with a current focus on the Minnesota Lynx, Connecticut Sun, Indiana Fever, and possibly coming soon, the Las Vegas Olympic Team, I can't place bets on games. Conflict of interest.Way to take a stand
Roughly 2 more hours to go.
No trolls in the AP.It’s unanimous.

They’re gonna pull the “if Angel wasn’t hurt” card.No trolls in the AP.
I’m not sure Clark will be unanimous in the league’s official ROTY vote. The MVP balloting breakout showed someone voted Angel 4th for MVP…
No surprises there.It’s unanimous.

Marina Mabrey is a bad woman.
Marina Mabrey with a league playoff record 27 points off the bench while Clark and Mitchell go a combined 4/23 from downtown. Not gonna win games with that formula. Connecticut doesn’t allow many open looks so the Fever will have to come back and hit tough shots to stay alive on Wednesday night.
