WWE

The last Raw wasn't as good as the week before, but it was pretty decent I think. WWE picking it up a bit right now going into the summer that's what I like seeing.

Agreed. I knew last week's show would be a tough act to follow, but this week's was still pretty decent. The crowd was horrible, and that always makes the show worse for me because I tend to get more into it when the crowd is into it.

The highlights of the night for me were the Punk/Heyman promo, the Henry promo, and the DB/Orton main event. Punk and Heyman are both amazing on the mic and have great chemistry together. As I said about Henry before, he just seems to be getting better and better as he gets older. He's been one of my favorites for the last couple of years and it's good to see him in the spotlight again. I hope he wins the title but I won't hold my breath.

I still can't believe DB actually made Orton tap out! That was a mark out moment for sure. I just knew Orton would win it with an RKO out of nowhere, but nope. I would love to see Bryan win the MITB match and get back into the title hunt.

That match between Orton and Bryan was top notch. I know people give Orton a lot of flack but he's one of the top performers in the WWE.

Definitely, man. He was my favorite wrestler for the longest time, since the Evolution days. I absolutely loved him during the storyline where he was going against Triple H and the McMahons and had the Legacy thing going.

I think his most recent face turn is what eventually put me off, even though I liked it at first, and I took a nice long break. I came back when the so-called summer of Punk was ending and started cheering for him, Del Rio, and Daniel Bryan, and Orton kinda got lost in the shuffle. Then Bryan became my #1 favorite after the Wrestlemania where they had him lose to Sheamus in like 18 seconds, and I pretty much just haven't looked back.

He gets a lot of flack because of stuff like this. To be a top perfomer, you need to be able to perform in the ring and on the mic.

LOL! I hadn't seen that before. I don't think any less of him for it though. Everyone screws up from time to time.

I thought the main reason some people don't like Orton is because they think his style is boring, both in the ring and on the mic. I've never felt that way at all, but I'm not one that has to see someone do a bunch of flips and highly technical maneuvers constantly to like them. And I've always liked his cold, so-called "monotone" delivery and think he is generally very good on the mic. Just my humble opinion.

Sandow making fun of him a few weeks ago was hilarious, though. I'll give you that.

Eh, that's no big deal to me. The way Vince rewrites the script last minute it must be hard to remember everything.

Sandow has been hilarious since day one. This was another one of his funny moments.

Bummer. I was wondering why the Iron Shiek had tweeted "God bless the Doing the Clown" earlier.

Plano police are investigating the death of one of the most memorable figures in pro wrestling history.
Officers said 55-year-old Matt Osborne died at a local hospital on Friday. He was transported there after his girlfriend found him unresponsive inside their Plano apartment.
Investigators said his death appears to be accidental.
Osborne was better known as "Doink The Clown."
He wrestled for the WCW, WWF and several other organizations. Several people posted condolences on the Matt Borne (Doink The Clown) Facebook Fan Page.
On it's website, the WWE posted the following statement:
WWE is saddened by the news that Matt Osborne, aka the original Doink the Clown, has passed away. A rugged brawler in promotions like Mid-South Wrestling and World Championship Wrestling, Osborne made a major impact in WWE under the greasepaint of a prankster named Doink — one of the most enduring personas of the early ’90s.
Our deepest condolences go out to Osborne’s family, friends and fans.

I can't believe some people are upset that chair shots to the head are illegal. Have they forgotten what happened with Chris Benoit? Granted other issues played a part in his death but he had major brain damage. Foley has said that sometimes he forgets where he lives because of taking so many shots to the head. I'm the first to admit sometimes WWE is too watered down but I'm talking about things like hornswaggle running around and Cena making poop jokes. Smacking someone over the head with a chair should never be allowed again.

I was just reading an article about WCW and some of the stupid things they did back in the day. Other than David Arquette winning the WCW Title(that's just too obvious) what are some of the most insane, lame and just bad things you remember about wrestling from years past?

The Yetti, the Shockmaster, the Great Oz, Letting Steve Austin go, Vince Russo, Seven, Nash/Hogan finger poke, Hogan/Giant monster truck fiasco, letting Saturn, Guerrero, Benoit, & Malenko go, too many damn celebrity matches, giving away on live TV that Foley was going to win the WWF title. Just a few off the top of my head. Lol

Saw where Sting has been throwing feelers to the WWE about joining again. Sting is over the hill, but I want to see it.

What an awkward moment.

"Wrestlecrap" is a great book that covers some of these really rediculous moments , angles and wrestlers.

Found myself tuning in more often than I have in years. Much more enjoyable than it's been in forever.

That said, Vicky Guererro is terrible. OMG, she sucks!

I'm glad Brad is the new GM, he's entertaining honestly, he can be the next Eric if they book him good enough and give me the right time for mic work and stuff.

Also, loved the Wyatt Family, watched them in NXT and I can't wait to see what else they do on Raw

Husky Harris is a former gimmick of one of the Wyatt family members. The crowd was pretty into it.

I know. I find it funny how the WWE thinks everyone just forgets about previous gimicks of wrestlers. People still chant sexual chocolate and that's been how many years ago.....

Speaking of Sexual Chocolate, Mark Henry is quickly becoming my 2nd favorite wrestler (behind D-Bry, of course). He has improved so much on the mic. Every segment he's done for the last few weeks has been great. It's a shame he's most likely going to lose at MITB. Dude deserves to be WWE Champion before he retires.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I love Vickie and I loved having her in charge. She's such a good heel. I'm totally indifferent to that goof Maddox, although he could be entertaining in a Mike Adamle sort of way. I hope Vickie at least stays on as his assistant - whatever it takes for her to be on my TV every week. I downloaded the WWE app just to vote for her to stay in charge even though I knew it would be a waste.

I like Husky Harris, or Bray Wyatt, or whatever he wants to call himself. He was the only member of the C.M. Punk-led Nexus that I actually liked. I wasn't offended by the crowd chants at all - I was chanting with them. The Wyatt Family's debut segment fell kinda flat to me, though. They build these guys up for all that time just so they could come out and jump Kane, of all people? Really?

I don't know if any of you follow TNA but I do on occasion. They've released like 6 people in the past week because of budget cuts and rumors are swirling about Sting leaving. Angle has hinted off and on that he may one day leave. Some have said they are behind on paying some guys/girls. Are they in trouble or do you think it's just usual business.

Still in the very early stages.

Stone Cold seems to be pushing for a match at 'Mania. Years past when brought up he always said he's not doing that years 'Mania, he's not fit for it, etc. Now his tune has changed and he's saying he's training hard, in great shape, knee feels real good, he could do it, etc.

So tonight(or I guess last night now) was Money In The Bank.

Randy Orton won the WWE championship MIB match.
Sandow won the WHC MIB match
John Cena defeated Mark Henry
Del Rio defeated ziggler(thanks to AJ)
Curtis Axle defeated the Miz
Ryback defeated Y2J

I don't quite understand the logic of having Orton win the MIB match. Byran is the most over guy in the entire company and Orton has been stagnant for months. Now it looks like Bryan will be stuck feuding with Axel while Orton heads to the title picture.

Will hostory repeat itself? Will WWE buy TNA now too?

It wouldn't surprise me. They are apparently having issues paying people and have to cut ties. Yet they still keep old guys like Hogan who do absolutely nothing for the company. The ratings are almost exactly the same as they were before he came there. Hogan lost his appeal around the same time the original nWo died out.
