New Primary Sponsor for Tifft
For five races starting next week @KySpeedway, @Fanatics will have its first primary car sponsorship -- this on @matt_tifft's No. 19 Toyota.
I've been far less than impressed by this guy.

Considering what he's been through I think he's done fine. I assume he'll be back in that car next year and I expect some improvements then.
Sam hornish jr jumped into a JGR car last year after being out for a long time and dominated Iowa in his first start.
I very much doubt it he will be in the car next year based on performance alone.
Looking forward to seeing what Kennedy can do in a GMS car

Someone will be along any second to tell you how much Penske's personal playground for Cup drivers that serves no sort of developmental purpose of any kind enhances the show.Top 4 of xfin qualifying cup drivers. Penske has 2 cars entered and both are cup drivers.
Need to find somewhere to go drink tonight, race ain't gonna be worth watching.

Hemeric usually beats the Dillion's when they race in the Xfinity driving the same equipment. He has way less experience too.If Newman does not return to the 31 car, Daniel Hemric is the guy to get that seat. He has consistent sponsorship and I think could be that halo driver for RCR, fast and very consistent, just needs to get to victory lane.
First, it enhances the show for some, me included. A good battle between four or five stars in a non-points setting is sure to be interesting. Other battles among series regulars will also be interesting. And it creates the potential for a young up-and-comer to beat them all, a much greater achievement than beating a field of nobodies. That doesn't happen every week, but when it does happen it is very special. Great races don't happen every week in any series... by definition they are rare.Someone will be along any second to tell you how much Penske's personal playground for Cup drivers that serves no sort of developmental purpose of any kind enhances the show.
Glad to see that you were listening...Something along the lines of it makes the wins more special for the younger guys and the young guys learn so much from them or some sh1t like that.
Matter of personal preference here. The regulars battles don't even get much TV coverage when the Cup drivers are hogging the front of the field. And Byron seemed to be happy with his small achievement at Iowa.First, it enhances the show for some, me included. It doesn't. And I don't necessarily want it to be that way. Busch was great when it was a haven for guys who didn't quite have the money or were on their way out or didn't quite make it in Cup, in addition to a group of young guys trying to work their way up to Cup. Don't misconstrue.Second, your post implies that "development" is the sole purpose of the Xfinity series, but that is not true. Nascar and the track operators and the broadcasters also view Xfinity as the main support event of the weekend, filling the schedule with something some people want to see. Development is not the sole criteria, despite that you might want it to be.
Blaney never even got to run half a season in Xfinity. He'd run in half as many Cup races as Xfinity races in the #22 prior to his rookie season, which certainly contributed to his development. Now? Not a whole lot in the pipeline. The Cup drivers take up the #22 and sometimes the #12 despite having been around for years now. Fair point on the development of the other personnel, but a Cup driver doesn't have to be in the car for that to happen.Third, Penske's Xfinity program *is* a development program. It was and is instrumental in developing Brad K and Blaney as drivers, as well as Paul Wolfe, Jeremy Bullins, Greg Erwin, and Brian Wilson as crew chiefs. And engineers, crew members, and over-the-wall pit crews too.
He won the modified race, already has a good weekend going.Ryan Preece...3rd in Xfinity final practice. 3rd. Can't believe I'm looking at this timesheet. I am SO PUMPED for tomorrow's race!!!!

He got 10th...in a Johnny Davis car...at Darlington last year. Out of the entire 3-car team it was the only top ten they scored. He was running top 10 at New Hampshire before wrecking.
I'm telling ya...this kid CAN drive. And he will only race in a car he's competitive in. That's why he stepped down from Xfinity this year (the ride was offered to him again). Now he's back kicking ass in modifieds here in the Northeast. He is going to have the time of his life in that 20 car. I cannot believe he got this deal with a TOP-TIER TEAM!!! I'm so happy for the guy. He's paid his dues for a long time...he's 26...that's not young at all in this sport anymore.
I am SO bummed I work weekends. Had I known about this just a few days prior I could've been there. Dammit. I get to see him race this Friday at Stafford.
