Up to 42 cars now for the Xfinity race. Gregory Vandersluis has been added in the #77 of Obaika Racing

There are going to be a couple of part timers in that race that are really good. As far as I am concerned it will be the race of the weekend. Even in the dry it is pretty wild, Elkhart Lake is pretty narrow and twisty

Hornish paces final XFINITY practice: #22-Sam Hornish, Jr. was quickest in final practice at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with a speed of 94.857mph.
#20-James Davison was second, followed by: #19-Matt Tifft, #18-Regan Smith, #00-Cole Custer, #21-Daniel Hemric, #1-Elliott Sadler, #11-Blake Koch, #7-Justin Allgaier, and #4-Ross Chastain.
#98-Casey Mears wrecked into the barriers near the end of practice after having a brake issue, which cut the session short. His team brought out the backup car.
37 drivers practiced during the session.

I want Hemric to win soooo bad.

He's been fast on every freaking type of track, I hope Childress is paying attention to him.

Childress signed him out of the trucks. I would think Childress was high on the guy. Hemeric is doing a good job for his first year. He isn't wadding up a bunch of equipment and running well

Smith squeaks into the last round. I guess they will let him change his tire. Davison is hanging in there. Hemeric already has been in the grass but still alive.:D on to the final round

James Davison gets Xfinity drive with Joe Gibbs Racing

more on this.....

Davison has previously competed at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in the Indy Lights Championship Series, earning two wins, a seventh-place finish, a pole starting position and led 41 laps. He made his IndyCar Series debut at the track in 2013 where he finished a solid 15th.

No mention that the last time he raced at Mid-Ohio he was banned from PWC for a race. lol

He'll be entertaining though.

Is Tagliani coming back for any road courses this year?

It's a standalone race so I'll watch it regardless if it's a Hornish domination or not.

Austin Cindric will make his Xfinity Series debut in the Team Penske No. 22 Ford next weekend at Road America, the teenager announced on social media.

"I'm excited to announce I'll be making my NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Road America in the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang for Team Penske," Cindric, 18, said in a video on Twitter. "It's the biggest opportunity of my racing career and I'm really excited to get started at one of the best racetracks in the country, in my opinion.

Christopher Bell, Austin Cendric from the trucks, and J.D. Davison from Melborne Australia are the three non full timers in the race I believe.
