23XI statement on not signing Charter agreement

What did they do to erase them? It was my understanding the series folded on it's own.
BTW. as Phelps said about Childress, if he is so unsatisfied why didn't he sign the charter and the sell out? I ask that question about 23XI every day.
Childress indicated that once they got the final charter offer with only five hours to decide he had no choice but to sign it. His signed statement also indicated he still seeks permanent charters for all charter holders.

Genuine question- do these texts change your opinion on NASCAR management and how they run the sport?
This works for me. I worked for a small business for 7 years and when we had somebody we had trained, lent money too and the went over to work for the competition it went like most of this with the owner taking the lead.

Saying you build twice as many old cars for the same price is really just a play. Maybe you could but they were also cutting them up and throwing them out and building new ones constantly.

Has he forgotten that the RTA was the driving force behind this kit car? Not nascar. The RTA asked nascar to "save us from ourselves"

I think there is a lot of validity to that. However, once the majority of owners buckled under pressure from NASCAR and did not stick together, what not reckless option was left for 23XI and FRM to pursue that has any teeth to it?

That’s the problem. There was nothing they could do. You don’t get change without upending the sport without a critical mass of owners (or less likely sponsors) giving a ****.

Maybe NASCAR settles or the judge prescribes a remedy that actually fixes things. As I said from the onset, this is playing with fire because we don’t know how this will go.

Team owners aren't employees of NASCAR. If they were they wouldn't be losing money by participating.

If you want to believe they are losing money that is your choice. The people I was referring to weren't employees either.
NASCAR didn't train or develop any of these people. The team owners did all of that. The team owners also being asked to shoulder more load for promoting the sport on social media while also cutting their costs. So why do they need to be loyal?

I go by what they said about Childress. If you don't like being in Nascar, go ahead and sign the charter agreement and then sell out. The facts are he has made multi millions from Nascar...back to my post of saying the teams aren't broke. Drive by their house(s), take a look at the vineyards, yachts, planes etc. Look in the silly season threads, look who is expanding, forming alliances, JR's running a Cup car for Daytona. Broke teams don't do that.

Childress made the majority of that himself by negotiating deals for his team. That's what NASCAR says it wants from its owners but apparently he's a dumb redneck in spite of being one of the most successful owners in the sport's history.

Let's face the honest truth here. Nobody probably knows who Richard is these days if there's no Dale. The reason Richard made those deals were because Dale. Don't get me wrong I like Richard, but without Dale his life is a whole different story. The only other top talent that came out of that place was Kevin. And Kevin admits he wanted to go there to race with Dale.

Childress rode the crest of the wave with Earnhardt. He knows it and so does everybody else. The right place at the right time.

Serious question, how do you guys find the time to keep up and read all this? I missed yesterday and there is no way I would spend an hour plus, reading all the messages and posts. I finally gave up and just scrolled to see who had the last word and that was @Charlie Spencer
I only read the replies that are about 2 sentences long and the Twitter links. 98% of the replies on this board are just biased opinions of NASCAR shills. Still think some of this boards members are on the NAPcar payroll.

And some a crazy enough to think this racing site as bandwidth for a daily blog.

True, BUT RC has been a loyal foot soldier for NASCAR since the late 60's, and whether you agree or disagree with his point of view, he deserves a hell of a lot more respect than he got in those texts. If you ask me who is (or should be) more important to NASCAR, Phelps or Childress, Phelps doesn't have a prayer in Hell of winning that contest. There are certain people in this sport that I feel have a free pass for life, and Richard Childress is one of them.
