Duck Commander 500 @ Texas: Pre-Race Thread

There is nothing that you can do. The process has been set in motion, and cannot be reversed.

You have to read that aloud in your most dramatic sounding voice.

Yer a real hoot Jeb

Noon eastern is the only thing I have heard for sure. 45 minutes ago Mikey said it would be on FS1, but I go to Fox sports and it says Fox.
Anyone know for sure?

Yeah, but the local stations have to get in Maury and the 'hen party' shows

Seriously, that only shows between 10% and 30% in the afternoon.

I'm being pessimist. Lol. Scattered t-storms start at like 2pm...

This really blows, wait all fawking day for the race only to have it postponed.

Yeah, how dare they let it rain there. Come on man, rain delays are apart of racing sometimes.

Three days in Bama monsoons and red Georgia clay that snuck across the border sticking to places I didn't even know I had was enough for me.

Let the duck dynasty boys figure out a way to do it & make an episode out of it.

I've watched that program a couple times. The only thing that gets done is the bigass meal at the end of the episode.

No, then I'd really be unhappy, that happened to me at Dega once and I'll never go back.
Tell me, is missing a race on the tube in the same category as getting rained out when you're actually there?
Wasnt there a Michigan race a few years ago ran on Wed or Thursday?
I don't think NASCAR would wait as long as Wed or Thu. Those teams need to be home to turn everything around in time for the next race. There was an Atlanta race two years ago that was delayed until Tuesday. If it hadn't been that close to Charlotte, they probably would have rescheduled for the next open weekend, which would have been in November.

That's why you sleep in until 3 or 4 on sunday. If they show the race, great you wake up to cars lapping the track. If you dont, then not much was lost. ;)

I called in sick twice for that Atlanta race. Oops

2007.

Our friend Matt ended Gordon's day by punting him into the wet grass in the front stretch.

That Kenseth is such a fellow.

I would have been there on Tues. but we had a blasted software installation scheduled. Then the damn installer tech calls in sick that morning ... from Atlanta.

It's bad either way but being there and enduring inhospitable weather and missing most of the race sucks big. There is very little investment watching it on the tube, it still sucks but you ain't wet, muddy and burned out and still face a 10 hour drive home.

I was at the coke 600 some years back that got rained on for 2 days and was run on Tuesday. We traveled 7 hours one way for rain, but it was an awesome time with a ton of great memories!

If I ain't sick I ain't in the bed at 3 or 4 without good reason to be there.

This is such an old incident, but I'll bite.

Even Gordon himself admitted that the spin was his fault. Nice try though. LOL.

I wasn't putting blame on him.

I just said he ended Gordon's day, which he did.
