Correct, but the same can be said again for a lot of the drivers. How many drivers racing now have won a Championship? Gordon, Johnson, Stewart, and Keselowski. Are they the only four who ever deserve a shot at going for the championship? Hell we can toss Johnson and Keselowski out because they won it in the chase! but they did win it when it was a little bit harder so let's put them right back in there. So that's the four every year! Until Gordon retires and I guess we go with 3 people in the last race and not four.

Better yet, Newman plows Harvick and wins. Then Harvick yells on the radio that he's going to kick Keselowski's ass.

Let the ass kicking games begin if that happens. Jeff needs to keekeeping what he's doing. In the top 5 and qualifying well. Also, if Jeff improved some of those important restarts, he would be in that final four.
 
Five bucks says that the people who are complaining about Newman moving Larson would be complaining if Newman didn't do that, saying that he needed to do whatever he could to get into the final round and how Richard Petty and Earnhardt Sr. would've moved Larson.

jeffy doesn't want to play that game. that's why he drives like mark.he doesn't like guys beating on him.
 
I would be fine with the elimination format but not with points being completely reset after each round. Wins should each count for a point like the old chase. It would prevent a car like the 31 that has 4 top 5's and no wins from being able to advance just because nobody wrecked him.
 
I'm glad Brad K. didn't get into The Championship Round. I think he still has some growing up to do before he can represent the sport of Stock Car racing as a NASCAR Champ again.

Although, he was the driver with the most wins this year, so that is kind of sad.
 
yeah bad for Bad Brad, I was pulling for him but he had too far to go and the Penske cars weren't that good at Phoenix. Hope they have better cars at Homestead or Joey is screwed.

I was saying its just weird how it worked out, all of these guys have been contenders at one point or another and couldn't get it done. Most notably probably Hamlin's meltdown a couple years ago... And now these veterans who have always came up short are now contenders the first year of the more diluted format. Just odd how it worked out is all.
