It's the rut, he's resting up.Just looked out the back window --- an absolutely gorgeous 6 point buck laying in the yard soaking up the sunshine.
He's sleek -- looks well-fed.

No it's the Peg!Is that a typo?
Next long range 10 day forecast has it not reaching above 20 with temps in the single digits and below zero at night. Global warming? I think not.Chilly morning after Christmas. Brrr.

Yeah, it's winter alright. I could go for a little global, or even regional, warming right now.....Next long range 10 day forecast has it not reaching above 20 with temps in the single digits and below zero at night. Global warming? I think not.
Damn!This is interesting.....
Yesterday, we got a few inches of snow to give us our white Christmas. Just saw on the news that Erie PA, about 90 miles to our north, got 34 inches of snow yesterday. A single day record snowfall for that area. They are expecting an additional 6-10 today into tonight.
Holy moly.This is interesting.....

Have I said that I love Florida? Yep I do.Saw this about Eire, PA.....
Erie picked up another 24.5 inches of snow on Tuesday, bringing the two-day tally to 58.5 inches. That is the highest two-day snowfall total in the entire state of Pennsylvania, according to the National Weather Service.

It's kinda funny though..... We live fairly close to Erie relatively speaking and while we have snow on the ground, I can still see the top of some of the grass poking through. What a difference a little latitude makes. Changes in latitude, changes in attitude.Have I said that I love Florida? Yep I do.
I just looked up lake effect snow and it's a bitch. I knew that it was a thing but not how bad it could be. Holy smokes. The report on what you were talking about is unbelievable. It's kinda funny though..... Yeah, that southeast side of Erie, and I'm sure the other Great Lakes, gets hammered with snow. In my location, just south of I-80, we are on the edge of what many times is the 'lake effect' snow system. While it is hit and miss for us, it's all 'hit' for them. I'm okay with that.I just looked up lake effect snow and it's a bitch. I knew that it was a thing but not how bad it could be. Holy smokes. The report on what you were talking about is unbelievable.
