Wrap it in foil, a little fresh garlic, olive oil, with onions and capers.....yumGrilled salmon is the greatest. But you have to be careful not to OVERCOOK it. Too long on the grill and it dries out.
Welcome to winter, I like it until spring training gets into full gear and the local tracks around here are near opening, then it's cya ...go away.Today

I've already had my fill of winter. I'd be good with it ending extra early.Welcome to winter, I like it until spring training gets into full gear and the local tracks around here are near opening, then it's cya ...go away.
I used to own a Jeep from Wisconsin that had a freeze plug block heater with a 110 extension cord on it. I never used it.Supposed to get down into the single digits overnight. Trying out the engine block heater on my F-250 that I bought a few months back. Interested to see how that thing works.
I had one, factory installed on my Dodge 2500 Cummins, it was awesome. Plug in overnight or a few hours before you head out. Those below zero mornings you will love it .....heat in like 2 minutes, plus the engine will turn over nicely and thank you for all that warm oil.Supposed to get down into the single digits overnight. Stop it! That's just plain mean.Did a little tour up north of me today. About an hour and a half from home.
No snow here thankfully.

I have to go somewhere early this morning so I figured I'd try it out. What you described is what I was looking for.I had one, factory installed on my Dodge 2500 Cummins, it was awesome. 6.5 F. Crikey.
Let us know how it went.I have to go somewhere early this morning so I figured I'd try it out. What you described is what I was looking for.
I've been using my garage for a bunch of projects recently and have to park a couple vehicles outside until I'm done. I knew it was to get damn cold overnight so it was a good time to try it out. I just got to remember to unplug the thing before I pull out this morning.
Went good. Truck was basically already warmed up and ready to go this morning. Had to take my dad to the doctors. He just turned 90 last month. I live close by and take care of him. It was nice not having to have him climb into a cold truck 1st thing in the morning.Let us know how it went.
I did that once, luckily I had a long extension cord, so i saw if before I got too far. I used to park my truck outside and plug it in before i went to bed, worked like a charm. One night we had really extreme cold, I was working 3rd shift and no where to plug in at work, she wouldn't start that morning. Those 11 quarts of oil were too sluggish, and my batteries were only 3 years old. I think all the new trucks at least have it as a factory option if not a standard part of the truck, I know Subaru even has it on some of their cars.I have to go somewhere early this morning so I figured I'd try it out. The truck I bought doesn't have all the bells and whistles. It was sitting on the local Ford lot at a reduced price as they are clearing out the 2017 inventory. It is just a work truck variety as far as options go. Hell, I don't even have carpet in it. I put floor liners in anyhow. Anyway, while mine has the heater, my buddy, who seemed to have ordered about all the options when he had his built, does not.I did that once, luckily I had a long extension cord, so i saw if before I got too far. If you live in a cold weather area, a block heater is a given, especially if it is a diesel. It takes so much juice out of the dual batteries trying to turn over all that oil, it's well worth it to have that block heater. The truck I bought doesn't have all the bells and whistles. Probably will need that hot tub to sooth your soul after the Pats / Steelers game.Almost ready for the weekend. Two cases of Bud Light in the fridge and the path dug to the hot tub! Water temp 102F
Should be able to jump in in time for the low of 22 degrees and 1-2 more inches of snow tonight.
That's the pool under that blanket of snow to the right of that path. That water temp's gotta be in the low 30's.

Did you contemplate putting your tub on the deck? I was very skeptical when a friend told me of his plans to put his tub on his new deck. Plans were approved by the building inspector and 10 or so years later it's still standing,

It is on my deck. My deck is three tiers. The tub is on the lowest of the three which also accesses the pool. The pool is on the right side of that pic cleverly disguised with several inches of fresh snow. The six person tub holds about 500 gallons. There’s added support in that area to compensate for the extreme weight.Did you contemplate putting your tub on the deck? I got some Bud Light for that.Probably will need that hot tub to sooth your soul after the Pats / Steelers game.
Maybe it's time to book a down under cruise Ken?Clutch, absolutely beautiful!!! Love those photos of the New Zealand beach. Our daughter and her husband are in Australia on a business/pleasure trip. Touring the rain forest today. Coming home Tuesday after eleven days there. Looking forward to hearing about their trip.

I'll be there conducting! We were discussing it before our daughter and son-in-law went on this trip. Their trip gave her a week to prepare!! We had discussed going on a cruise with Oceania Cruise Lines as they have a couple each winter (winter in our part of the world that is) and they take in New Zealand, Australia, and some other islands as well. I'll let you know if we decide to travel to your end of the world so you can arrange for the brass band to greet us at the pier.
Count on itI would hope so! With a nice cool Foster's for me 'n my Bride and one for you too!!
Looks like more than that. http://dailycaller.com/2017/12/21/c...set-to-dump-a-foot-of-snow-over-northeast-us/There's a slight possibility of freezing rain late tonight, black ice is nasty.
But we could wake up Christmas morning to a inch or two of snow! Looking forward to that for the kids sake
