Congratulations 18 Kyle Busch

Kyle Busch, being a Cup champion, has resources at his disposal when he runs XFINITY with the Monster Energy Series superteam that is Joe Gibbs Racing that Brennan Poole and Daniel Hemric don't have. When Cup drivers run in XFINITY, they run with Cup superteams against inexperienced drivers who are running with second-tier teams.

So, no, it's not impressive when Kyle Busch wins an XFINTY race. And his XFINITY success doesn't make him the greatest driver in NASCAR history when he gets to 201 wins.

If the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots go out and beat a high school football team, is it impressive?

Al wins are impressive ........ they bother to put the races on television and sell seats. I watched Kyle drive from the back TWICE and win a Nationwide race ......... he brought me back to the sport . I have never seen anyone drive like that ... ever

Okay, spot a high school football team 14 points and have them play against the Patriots. Is it still impressive if the Patriots win?

Answer: No.

I'd say Preece is pretty talented, but Hornish went to Iowa last season and led over 75% of the race after not being in a car AT ALL all season until that point. Dakoda Armstrong didn't even sniff the top 10 until his random top 5 run at Iowa in the 18.

Credit has to be given for Kyle & Toyota's relationship together which is why JGR's Xfinity program is so good.

Half the forum goes quiet or cries about cheating and the other half proclaims Kyle Busch as the greatest ever of all time... no in-between.

I love his presence in the sport. There hasn't ever been anyone as polarizing as him. You either love him or hate him, no in between.

If I was Truex, I'd be worried now. We've seen in the past once Kyle gets in his groove, he's unbeatable. And even with his "bad luck" (mostly created by himself), he's been a top-three driver all year.

KyBu is getting red hot at the right time. Dude might win a second.

I wouldn't call him unbeatable, 2008 he was handled by Carl at the end of the summer when he was on, 2015 was him. He's 1 for 2 so far.

I don't see him beating the 2 if they turn it ON in the chase either, if they get to Homestead. Certainly won't beat the 48 if they turn it up either. If they don't he's my pick.

I do think Kyle is at his best when he is a 3-5 place driver and can maintain that in the chase though, he has less chances to mess himself up with fast cars.

Rationalizing Kyle as the GOAT is kind of sad, imo. Can't just cheer him on as one of the 7-12 greatest ever? Isnt that impressive? You have to be convinced he's the greatest?

There are two, maybe three drivers who raced and have had better careers than Kyle during his span as a cup driver. One of which has won 30 more races and 6 more titles than him with the most impressive 5 year streak in history.

Be humble as a Busch fan. He's special, he's one of the greats. That in itself is something to brag about

But I know this is just baiting. You guys can have your fun :)

very poor comparison ..... also the end of the conversation ( for me) because it will never end ... have a great day

Me too. Posted in another thread to just ban Kyle's ass, and be done with it. I have enjoyed watching him race (and win) in the lower series paying a fraction of what the Cup day cost with a more relaxed atmosphere. Those days are gone. Now, let's have that great racing thing everybody talks about with full stands. Good luck with that. I will miss KBM when it locks its doors....but I have been ready for that since the days when Delana's wife said it was going to happen....which was just about the time she couldn't make her team work.....

Damn they said Kyle won the race last night but got disqualified because he car was to light .. here we go lol

I watched him win twice in a last lap pass at Fontana....may have told you about that....lives as the greatest sports experience I have ever witnessed. I cannot explain the euphoria......so great, that haters....errrr......dislikers were coming up to me to congratulate me.

My gf and I watched Hamlin win at Chicago with a torn hamstring on an old tire final restart pass. I'll never forget watching that car stick through turn 2 with 4 tires on his tail and realizing he could really pull it off. It was ecstasy.

A feeling like no other in sport IMO. Not sure why this is so hard to sell in today's world.

Looking at the stands on the rare occasion I watch a Xfinity race that I know will be dominated by a cup team, I'm not convinced they actually sell seats. ;)

Yeah, I'm not sure where the "Cup guys sell seats in Xfinity" theory comes from. A Foghat concert at the North Dakota State Fair would probably outdraw most of those races.

I think most of his fans make it worse, Lying and alibiing myself...honestly.

His fans have this personal exclusivity about Kyle. They WANT haters lol, and slap the hate label on people who don't dislike him. It's like comic fans who love Hulk

I love Kyle, I think he's hilarious. I just hate how media and his fans boost him up in a false narrative, it takes away from Kyle. Same as people who compare Lebron to Jordan.

DW had a legacy, Smoke did, Yarborough did, Rusty Wallace did, Kyle does. Let him be what he is. One of the greats. I think he will be the only driver to end his career in the 60s in win total.

Probably. I think the dislikers are repulsed by the fans. The more the fans cheer, the great the repulsion and back and forth. Feeds each other IMO.

Pretty cool Kyle won on Sunday ( been a bit behind, busy). I like Kyle, I think he's great for the sport and even when he loses an has his tantrums because people talk either way. I will say I bet he wins a few more in the Watkins Glen, Michigan, Bristol and Darlington trek we have coming up here, Pocono is going to open up the floodgates. As for his DQ late model win, that's unfortunate
