California is credited with holding the first organized midget race in 1933 for sure. But originating sprint car racing?..nobody really knows for sure what is or was a sprint car, some say 1895 in Chicago in the snow was the first sprint car race. 4 degrees now. -5 tonight. The forecast calls for deep freeze for the next week. I don't normally watch the Pro Bowl, but this year I will. Just'cause its Warm in Hawaii. And, the old wood stove has been working overtime this week.

It's up to 28 degrees right now, but with 20 mph winds it's a wind chill of 11 or so. We have been getting buried with snow. So far, we've had 7" or so in the last 12 hours or so. Not sure how much more we are expecting, but it is supposed to get down to 1 degree tonight actual temperature. I don't really want to know what the wind chill will be at that point, but it just sucks.
