Fall/Winter Weather Thread

At 7 AM it was 17 degrees, no screaming, no freaking out but I think I burnt out a lobe suppressing the urges.

...Yeah, they may be more to life than racing, but racing is my life. It's what I love, and moving out there would be taking away much of what I love. It's be like taking away your Harley.
You forgot to thank California for inventing dirt Sprint Car racing. Otherwise you'd be freezing your ass off half of the year for nothing...:D

17 degrees at 7 AM yesterday morning

49 degrees at 7 AM this morning. Slowly shakes head in frustration.

California is credited with holding the first organized midget race in 1933 for sure. But originating sprint car racing?..nobody really knows for sure what is or was a sprint car, some say 1895 in Chicago in the snow was the first sprint car race. Pretty cool article here:

different story here:

and again here is another claim

It's a gorgeous Monday here. Where the hell is the rain?!

74* today ---- so nice I got the 4-wheeler out and rode around the property.
Tomorrow and the rest of the week --- winter returns.
Good thing the propane man came today and filled the tank.

A high of 10 today and a low of 0. We are supposed to be pretty much like this for at least the next 7 days or so.

6 inches of snow on the ground now...
Forecast calls for 12 inches of snow total.
Punxsutawney Phil better not see that shadow this year...

It is really cold here (-12, an 8 mph wind makes it worse). It takes your breath away, it hurts any exposed skin.

19 and going down to 11 tonight, not the great white north, but darn cold for the mid continent.

4 degrees now. -5 tonight. The forecast calls for deep freeze for the next week. I don't normally watch the Pro Bowl, but this year I will. Just'cause its Warm in Hawaii. And, the old wood stove has been working overtime this week.

It's been sleeting/snowing here since 1 PM but it's just above freezing so It's not sticking to anything.

It's up to 28 degrees right now, but with 20 mph winds it's a wind chill of 11 or so. We have been getting buried with snow. So far, we've had 7" or so in the last 12 hours or so. Not sure how much more we are expecting, but it is supposed to get down to 1 degree tonight actual temperature. I don't really want to know what the wind chill will be at that point, but it just sucks.
