Uh Oh...Cheater cheater pumpkin eater...L1 for the 4 team

are you freaking kidding me? all of them manufacture illegal parts. What do you think those things are that allow the rear end to twist? Side panels to bow? Doors to cave in, and windows to dip and fans that run backwards to name a few.

That's such bull**** man. You know had this been a Toyota, you would have been all over it like smell on ****. Because it is Delana's wife, everybody is doing it. bull****. I call bull****.

They have been cheating all year just like the others have. Last year IMO they made no attempt to curb those cheatin yoters, they made some rule changes in the off season last year instead. Keep up dude. looked pretty even this year to me.

Kyle's wins this year all counted .... seems real easy to understand that Kyle wasn't the problem

Your constant hammering at Revman about the Toyota's cheating. The hotter his response, the more you keep at it.
If you go back to post 442 and read forward, I think you might have a better idea of what is going on, Rev and I aren't the only ones by a long shot, and the author of post 442 is where it all started from. And another thing these events actually happened, they are not flames or trolls but a discussion about the racing IMO. Nobody is making fun of each other or insulting the fan base.

Weaseling at Pocono in a lower series.
Race winner failed post race inspection
Following a race NASCAR tech’s the NASCAR Xfinity Series cars at the race track. Unfortunately, Busch failed the ride-height measurement.
here is another one of those lilly white never cheat Yoters this year:p
Just last week at Charlotte Motor Speedway another Joe Gibbs Racing driver failed the same infraction.
In that case, the #20 of Christopher Bell was handed an L1 penalty. The crew chief was suspended for 1 race, they were fined $10,000. In addition, the teams lost 10 owner points and 10 driver points.

The point being is that they all cheat, some get caught some don't and nobody is exempt. The thin blue line as they say are the inspections that try to keep a lid on a barrel of monkeys

Every one of them. Need to see one in person again soon! I loved the two I saw from Martin, but a win by Rowdy has me under the seats at Fontana while the family goes home. Different level of awesomeness.
They caught this little stunt before the race at Michigan.Nascar has been handing out the required splitters all year. That is a spec part. Started this year because teams were modifying them.:idunno:
Joe Gibbs Racing Teams Penalized for Illegal Splitters in NASCAR Race at Michigan

Okay, and you know what they were doing with the splitters, right? They were using the proper part--apples to oranges in reference to the Rodney spoiler. They were installing them in an unusual fashion to get them to flex I believe. Not quite the same as what Rod was up to. I need some clarity on Rodney's spoiler. I understand that they modified the spoiler--was that inclusive of fabricating the NASCAR stamp on the part? That would be way cool.

Yeah, okay. This year was even? 18 wins for the drubbed Fords? Complete domination? Just because you like the result doesn't make it even. Wonder what the Manufacturers Championship would have looked like without the spoiler? That kind of pisses me off. Oh, and remember your rant about how SHR outperformed Penske, and that was proof that Ford didn't get anything from NASCAR? I guess Rodney kind of blew that theory up didn't he? Let's get back to our basic premise.....I don't give a **** about this, but you want your parity. It isn't happening. NASCAR is going to continue to spend money. Continue to make inspection the centerpiece of this series.....and nothing will ever change. Maybe that's okay....except for all of the money it is costing teams.
Fine. Just don't let it get out of hand.
I hear you TRL....but honestly.... I truly enjoy exchanges with @StandOnIt. I agree that some of my posts give the appearance of anger, but it's really just passion. A couple of guys at the bar going back and forth. I enjoy it. I truly do. You will notice that neither of us get into name calling or character assault. That is the crap I will not tolerate, and needs to be managed IMO. Haven't seen too much of that around here lately--maybe that's because my ignore button is handy.

Cheating is cheating. Personally the first thing I thought about with the illegal Toyota front splitters is, that was such an obvious cheat, what else are they trying to get thru inspection. It's a common practice to let them find one thing to hide another. "You will never convince me that all of them are legal. Legal is for losers. But whatever floats your boat. Last year they let the yoters run wild IMO. SHR was recovering from a manufacturer switch and came on strong at the end of last year. Penske built all new cars for the playoffs. Truex was lucky to even make the final four, weasel Joe tried his best to stack the deck and the whole thing blew up in his face. Lovin it.

...and what did you think when Rodney was caught with his rear window?.....probably, that's all there is, right? Dude, I don't need them legal...you do. That's why you are such an OSS fan, right? You and SHR....blindly ignoring the pimple at the tip of your nose....two encumbered wins, but those were the only two times they were illegal, right? You are starting to sound like me. Martin had a great year, and he is going to be a great addition to the JGR stable. I do believe that the pit stall crap got into the pit team's head, and went south....but, it would have worked had Kyle had 1/2 the car Martin did. Oh well. You take joy in Toyota's failure. @TexasRaceLady doesn't like me using the "hater" word, so I won't, but that sure looks like it. NASCAR threw Ford their bone, and they took advantage of it. Maybe next year will be the level playing field you are looking for with the new package. Delana's wife said the other day that the Mustang HAS NOT been developed with the aero ducts in mind. Uh oh. Might be looking at a Chevy kind of year. That's okay. They had their bone. Maybe Chevy quit trying mid season, and started development. I know MY TRD guys have been on it. Manufacturers Championship is doubtful due to car count, but the 18 will be there for sure bitching the whole time about a package that will not do his talent justice.

Dark days ahead for ya Rev. you are used to it though. I don't think Truex and Pearn will thrive working for Joe the weasel myself. Kyle has already ,oops, spun Truex a number of times already, knows he can get by with it, knows he can't with Harvick and Joey and I suspect with Elliott. Looking what Elliott did with another one of Joe's thinks he knows how to drive nut cases, he isn't going to take any gruff from the Kyle I believe. All of those drivers will be working in the front next year, along with Keselowski, and Almirola for sure. I think it might be time to play the wounded underdog angle Rev.:p:D

LOL. WE will be just fine.

Boggles the mind what the season might have looked like had the 4 been legal.
That really is unfair and I am disappointed you would say that. That was a brand new car and the spoiler was mounted wrong. To accuse Harvick of having an illegal car all season is just wrong, especially when he has been torn down after so many wins. Kyle also got caught with his car being off, does that man they cheated every race?
I think you need new ammunition for your rants.

That was a part NASCAR wasn't looking at....until they did. Then, on the sport's biggest stage, the 4 is third best when he literally was lights out all year. That spoiler wasn't mounted incorrectly, it was mounted illegally--and modified or fabricated in house (we really don't know). Delana's wife had two encumbered wins. Kyle Busch had none. My rant is biased as hell, but your criticism of it is baseless. Try again.

Can't explain the 'choke' 18 car. The 4 dominated the first stage and was a close second by a fender the second stage. It was lights out until the track cooled off. You should be thankful Childers wasn't there.

I am not talking about the 18, but you need me to to direct attention away from the 4. The 4 didn't give a **** what the track was doing all year because it was always ahead of it. I would love to have had Childers there--would have taken away another excuse you like to make for them. You would not afford the 18 such allowances, but then again, the 18 was legal all year, so we are good there.

but then again, the 18 was legal all year, so we are good there.

Using REV logic, they had that going on all year long.
Infraction Date: 6-10/2018 (pre-race inspection)

Hmm that sure the hell doesn't trump a fabricated spoiler.

Doug Rice reporting on Fast Talk that the 4 team copied the engraved serial number of the legal spoiler onto their own homemade cheater blade.....This is a gift given to me by 'lil Baby Jesus, and I am forever grateful.

Rice and Gille hammering on Delana's Wife's team....suggesting that you cheat at the beginning of the year, and then at the end, but you were clean in the middle? C'mon man. Outstanding radio. Hell yes. What a farce!

What would you propose for the penalty?

SHR needs three more just like him. They are going to have all the down force they can handle next year. I think they will be trying to play hide the spoiler next year. Rodney is all over it. ;)

What would you propose for the penalty?

Consistent with @kyle18fan, Rice and Gille were suggesting that he be excluded from the Championship at that point. I have been consistent in my desire to allow the teams more freedom. However, understanding that MY Toyotas got screwed with the OSS this year while the Fords reaped huge rewards for not doing a damn thing, the fanboi part of me wants exclusion. What they did was not a cute "interpretation" of the rules or "pushing the envelope." What they did was fraudulent. Get your head around duplicating serial numbers on the spoiler to make it look like an approved part. Fanboi aside, I still wouldn't look for heads to roll, but when Rodney slaps NASCAR Nation on the other side of the face with the "no performance advantage" bull****, and then Delana's Wife hits NASCAR Nation again with his "I want my crew chief to be suspended" bull****, you begin to wonder if these guys need to go to the corner. If they had not found the spoiler, Delana's Wife becomes the Champion, and this whole season becomes a joke. So, to answer your question.....I think NASCAR did the only thing they could do. Slap on the wrist. Anything more would have been devastating for the sport. After the fact, I would hit Rodney and Delana's Wife hard for their arrogant ass comments relative to the fraud extremely hard. Maybe Rodney is off the box for the first 5 races next year, and Delana's Wife gets hit with a fine and points before the year even starts. There is something that this sport loves about a guy from Bakersfield. Tough guy bull****. He is thumbing his nose at the sport. Be clear....what they "accomplished" last year was a lie, and I am pissed that I pulled and strained for Kyle Busch to catch Delana's Wife's lap times when that wasn't possible with a legal car. Also hanging my head in shame for criticizing MY TRD powered Camry for underperforming when perhaps they were the best car all year long in hindsight. I do not like how this has been swept under the rug. I am not sure who pisses me off more....Delana's Wife for sticking the middle finger into the camera every chance he gets, or "humble down home boy" Rodney for his drawling description of his driver's excellence and his team's superiority.

Did they race it? Crickets....I'll just leave it there. They probably couldn't find Rodney's etching machine for their fabricated splitter. C'mon man as they say.

In light of recent information, would you like to retract this post? This was more than a brand new car with an incorrectly mounted spoiler.

I totally agree.

Surprisingly, I have to somewhat agree with Revman and Kyle18fan. There is the garden variety cheating and pushing the envelope that goes on with EVERY car at EVERY race, and then there is making counterfeit mandated parts, which is on a whole different level if you ask me. If that is indeed the case, then there is NO WAY the penalty was harsh enough. Under those circumstances, there is no way the 4 car should have even be eligible to race for a championship at Homestead. I would remind Revman though that his guy STILL got beat by a Ford, which as far as we know was legal, or at least as legal as everybody else.

Agreed.

As to the rest, breath in, breath out, move on. There's nothing will be done at this point.

You've been sobbing this story for months, Revman, but I'm sure you know the OSS did not change the rules or specifications. It is simply an upgrade in determining compliance with existing rules and specifications. I'm reminded of a conversation with a state trooper who explained the new radar system installed in his patrol car... very sophisticated, precise, and stealthy.

Me: "Wow. I'd say this changes everything!"

Trooper: "No, not everything. We still don't ticket the drivers who aren't speeding."

As for the rest of the rant, your argument loses steam due to fan-driven hypocrisy. Last year: Gibbs splitters. This year: Childers' spoiler. If you had argued for draconian penalties last year... then you could reasonably argue for draconian penalties this year. But you didn't last year, so this year just seems like sour grapes to me. (My opinion is... much stiffer penalties in both cases.)

Nascar has caught them all over the years for everything under the sun. I remember one year they caught JR's Daytona car with holes drilled thru the bolts holding the spoiler on designed to let air out of the car. And the yota's got caught last year using multiple extra fans moving backwards pulling air for more down force. It pretty much depends on who is cheating as to how loud we holler. Nascar is never going to catch everything, next year will all new designs, they are going to have their hands full.
