How about a "Hey, is there anything WE can do? How about, "Is there anything we can learn from this for the future? How about, "Hey, I know you sunk millions of dollars into this deal and it didn't end well. We are real sorry about that, as we NEED good car owners that try to field competitive cars, and if your situation changes, we would love to try to get you back involved in the sport in some way". Would ANY of those things be too much to ask? Oh, I forgot. There are literally dozens of millionaires lining up at the door to turn their large fortunes into small ones by fielding a Nascar team.
That would require NASCAR to understand that they have priced themselves into a situation where the field is shrinking, sponsors don't or can't lob truckloads of cash into teams that don't run up front, and that the "its our way or the highway' style of management was last used effectively 20+ years ago before Brian took over as CEO.
