NASCAR Heat 2 coming Fall 2017

Well, hold on, the weekly updates for GTA Online is dripfeeding , today we got one new car as part of the Gunrunning update a few weeks ago. There is still like 8 new aircraft they are holding back to dripfeed over the next few months.

Grand Theft Auto still has a full SP story mode to play , which is big difference between what it sounds like GTS is doing, there is not going to be a "career" mode, its going to be some stuff to get you ready for online( sounds like it), I have no issues with games going online, but its coming at the cost of offline content, which yes, sucks.

Hell, PD is still providing new ( rehashed really) races via the Seasonal for GT6.

I meant as an the size of the patches. They're usually gigantic.

About GT...not sure what you mean.

Yes, it will feature online bigly. But it has a solo campaign mode you can compete in.

From wiki:
imilar to its predecessors Gran Turismo Sport is a racing game and will include three game modes: "Campaign", "Sports Mode" and "Arcade Mode". Both offline and online racing will feature in the game.

That is not confirmed bud, I dont care what Wiki says, anyone can edit that , again, I posted a link that has actual factual info about the game. PD themselves have not been very open about what is going to be in the game, I was part of the beta testers and there was NO campaign mode in the beta , and that beta just ended a month ago.

I could be wrong, but everything points to all the offline stuff is going to be license testing.

Also hearing that the engine sounds and tire screeches have not changed.

So much for that "day 1 patch".

Idk how this developer can expect to continue.

Reading this thread...LOL! Another year, another NASCAR video game c***tease.

Reading the game's subreddit is god awful. So many people so excited for the game and it launched with hella bugs.

Just saw a video of online play where during a flip he left tire skid marks in the air.

So I bought it. Currently ****** around with career mode. I just started so I'm doing "hotseat" races. I guess qualifying for a full-time truck ride next year.

I'm about 5 races in. It's actually pretty damn fun. I play with a controller.. Last game, it was either way too easy with stability control or way to hard without it. Running without it this time around is much easier yet if you do some dumb **** you will definitely wreck. The AI is absolutely improved. If graphics are your thing, this game is cancer.

I haven't raced a Cup or Xfinity car so I'm looking forward to driving higher powered lower downforce stuff that requires a bit more finesse in the corners.

Well.... I gave it a go for 45 min, that's all the time I had today. The career mode seems a bit odd, you can't make a driver with a name, which is weird to me because it's lame to just go by your PS4 tag for the driver name. You also can't pick the look of your driver which I didn't like. I liked the old PGA Tour Tiger Woods games because you can customize up to the clothes you wear each tournament. It's seems you bounce around from team to team in Trucks with the hope of getting called up to Xfinity. For what reason I can't figure out, I would think you'd start at one team for the year, run for the Truck Championship and as the year goes on sprinkle in some Xfinity races. So the career mode I'm not sure on but trending towards a thumbs down for me. Thankfully all the tracks are included this year after last year's fiasco of having to unlock them. It was pretty neat to race at Eldora and Iowa. I though the racing physics/handling was fine it felt like NASCAR Thunder 2002-2004 for me, and that's great I'm used to that feel. The last games NASCAR Inside Line the car always broke lose and the pack raced stupid. This game the pack is somewhat smart but I did get away from it at Daytona which was a bummer, maybe it's my inexperience racing the game. I didn't try a championship season yet, hoping you can keep stats in that from year to year. Saying all that, I may have turned it off or couldn't find it but a HUGE deal breaker for me would be is I couldn't set up the damn car. Don't know if glossed over it or couldn't find it but yea if I can't do that adios. I don't pretend to be a mechanic but I like tweaking the wedge, tire pressure and all that. I love the F1 games from Codemasters because you can do all that. I have no idea what the hell im doing but I know enough to know if I have too much oversteer or the car is too low to the ground. I really am undecided about the game, it has a lot of potential actually, they just need to iron out more of the little details. If can figure out how to find the car set up or ifs it not included I'll be really disappointed that's a HUGE detail to be left out. I'll post more as I go along the next 48 hrs or so, won't take up the whole thread on it

You can pick the look of your driver in the main menu "my driver" section.

The career mode is a blast. I raced through the first "season". Was offered hot seat rides with trucks ranging from tbd 42, 50 and 44 on up to KBM, Thorsport and BKM. Got a win in Canada driving Ben Rhodes truck. Accepted full time ride with BKM driving the 19 truck. I'm loving this game, but I liked NHE more than most.

Is there a way to set up the car or truck?

Im not pleased with "it has potential". Rememeber this is the second game in a series. NHE was supposed to be the stepping stones and this second iteration is supposed to be "the potential".

Releasing a racing game in 2017 where you cant even look to the left, right and rear of the car is down right a scam.

My biggest beef with the first NHE is that you could only see who is running two positions ahead and two positions behind you, unless you're running up front you have no idea who is leading. Hopefully they fixed that in NHE2.

You need to switch from arcade to simulation and it'll let you play around with setups. At least that's how it was on the last game. Hopefully they fixed sim mode, it was downright unplayable on the last game.
When I get home tonight I'll give it more of a look, thanks

They have a ticker in the upper left hand corner you have to toggle on. I didn't like you couldn't see what was behind or to the side of you, the F1 game you can toggle that while racing

Dont bother. The "arcade" and "simulation" modes were removed in NH2. Its been replaced in the settings to toggle assists on or off.

Yeah but if you turn off the stability control you should be able to adjust set-ups.

It's essentially the same thing as 'simulation' mode.

One think I liked is that,(I'm assuming after the patch) Miller, Busch, Twisted Tea and Natural Light cars were already in the game.

You really hate this game it seems, can I ask why?
My apologies, my post was meant to show that if you look for a "simulation" mode you wont find it. The vernacular of the modes was altered.

Honestly I dont hate the game, its just disappointing. I purchased NHE at full price knowing it wasnt worth it but the funds were said to go towards helping the developers create a huge step forward in the second game.

While several updates were made - its not anything worth $50 in my opinion. The unity engine is garbage. I dont see the value of the game when games like Forza, Project Cars and F1 have set the standard for racing games so far. Selling a game far below the bar with so many bugs and issues for full price is a slap in the face to their promise to fans.

Again, I'll wait a while for the price to depreciate and significant patches to come online before I deem it worthy.

I still play mine. Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Maximo, MediEvil, Sly Cooper etc. Obviously I like platformers. It's mostly because I like to solve the hard puzzles.

I use to love playing the hell out of some Sly Cooper back in the day! That was one of my favorite games when I was younger. Now I wish I had a PS2 still so I could play it. Bummer.

It's got some really hellacious puzzles but it's a lotta fun.

I have not noticed that happen how did I get the patch?

I'm in my second season driving the 46 KBM truck pretty good career mode....

Cons
Can't change my name
Not enough stats

How are you skipping practice ? That's all it's letting me do
If your in career mode at the bottom of the main page there is a (career settings) option and you can change race prefences.

Not at home right now so I can't see what I'm referring too. Do you have x box or ps2?

I figured it out. I don't mind practicing but i don't want to do it for an hour LOL

Anyone confirm this?

Many reports of the AI being way too easy unless you are running for crap teams in career. Several people say they are lapping the field in less than 100 laps at 105 difficulty (highest) in normal non-career races.

If so, thats pretty bad.
